Game doesn't start, config tool always crashes to desktop

I can't start my game, because I get always an error if I try to execute the config tool. Somebody else with this matter?

Same thing to me, I posted a discussion too, haven't really got any real help.
Try restarting computer or Steam.

Thanks mate, bur U I did so already - with no luck. Same for compatibility modes and similar options. Seems to be a crappy port to me. I'm afraid we will need a patch for this issue.

The developers have to fix their mistake, that's the meaning of a patch.

Also, other people can play the game, so what makes us not allowed?

Yes, of course. All the usual walkarounds, nothing works. The game demands the execution from the config tool first, but if you start it, it crashes to the desktop immediately.

One is hoping. I had this game on Xbox around three years ago. It was AMAZING.
But three years later is a long time, and hoping the graphics have improved, etc.
