Keeps crashing!

I am very disappointed with my purchase of this game, I love the idea of playing as a presidential hopeful, but I never get very far because it keeps crashing! I always start the game fine, nothing seems to be wrong while I try to play it, and then at random moments: the screen will freeze, its starts playing a loud repetitive noise, and I have to hard restart the whole computer. Is there something Im doing wrong? Is there anything I can do? Or did I waste my money on this game?

keeps crashing for me too, and does not display right. It used to work, it's disappointing it since somehow got broken
