[Fixed, AGAIN] DLC2 levels removed from the Levels folder again
8 OCT, 5:26PM Mountain time, again, the DLC2 maps were taken.

2 Oct, sometime in the late afternoon mountain time, the map files were again stolen from us by Steam.

Old Update: As of 24 Sept, @ 5:42PM Mountain time, the map files were erased again by Steam.

OP: Eight minutes ago, Steam removed the levels from the Steam/steamapps/common/Sanctum2/SanctumGame/CookedPC/DLC2/Levels folder like last week.

Naturally, this makes it difficult to play the Brightholme DLC. :-)

Well this is annoying. And here I was just about to go boot up sanctum 2 for a run and then suddenly, I get the blackscreen and empty dialog when I click on the brightholme maps.

So I look up what the issue could be, doing a quick search on google, that led me to another thread that described the issue I was having... that the maps had been removed then readded and restarting steam would fix it... and come here and find this thread going, cause it was still happening even after restarting.

Disappointing, I was really wanting to play it tonight.

Try restarting steam and see if it works now. It should work now.
Very strange issue indeed.

Yep, the files are back where they're supposed to be. Thanks!

It happened again. DLC2 maps... erased by Steam.

Exactly one week (to within a few minutes) since the last time.

At your own risk but I had a computer that hadn't updated in a couple days so i pulled the maps from the folder, you can download them here
Unpack the files and drop them in your steam folder
Sideloading the files may cause issues once the issue is offically fixed but worst case you'll need to verify the cache or reinstall later but it solves the issue.

Hey guys.
We're really sorry about all the issues that keep popping up with the DLC 2 maps. The issue is fixed, for now, but we have contacted steam to try and solve it once and for all.

Yep, the DLC maps redownloaded just now.

This kinda issue would suck for anyone on a limited bandwidth, only able to download x amount per month. Yes there are internet service providers like that.

I'm not thankfully, but its kinda a sucky issue to have to redownload maps every week even so. Please do get steam to fix this issue. It is rather irritating.

Thanks though for trying to find a permanant fix for the issue, @ockeffs

I think all of the major internet providers in the U.S. are like that now. But, the limit is so high that most people currently don't get close to the cap.

For instance with Comcast:

The map files are lost again.

Why does this keep happening? I've never heard of Steam doing this to any other game.

Oscar, maybe you need to be nicer to Valve when you ask them to stop messing with your customers. :-p

Also, I did not get a message from Steam this time saying I'd received an "update" for Sanctum 2 like I had the previous two times.
