Is there a trick with the Fiskeplaske?
Ok, so, after the 5th time of getting my ♥♥♥♥ kicked on Laser Bridge (and second time as SiMo), I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Is there something I'm missing?

Up until wave 10 it's plain sailing. The lumes barely touch the core. The second this steaming pile of **** turns up, everything goes to hell. The basic problem is thus:

The weakspots appear to shift at random, and the mix of oncoming horde plus that ridiculous heatseeking wtfpwnage barrage it shoots means that I'm simply not getting a chance to hit the spots before it arrives at the core, at which point it proceeds to ignore shocking revelation + unstable core and all the conscripts, and somehow manages to shoot both me and the core at the same time.

I've watched some youtube vids and they somehow bring it's health down far faster without shooting at it anywhere near as many times as I have. Has there been a change in patches or something?

Is there some magic set of perks I need to be using, should I be building my maze differently (currently it's just an S-shape with walls facing the lume spawn points)? Is there any turrets that are effective against it?

I'd list my perks/secondary/turrets but I'm not sure it matters, as I've tried a range of my normal ones and they have no affect, I sail through the first 9 waves and get smashed flat on the last. The most successful build I've had so far is SiMo/Tesla Rifle/Focus/Missiles/Drone/Slow Field Dispenser/Shocking Rev/Unstable Core/Resilient Core.

After I've done this mission I fully intend never to do it again, as it's the single worst balanced map I've come across. Please tell me that damn fiskeplaske thing isn't in any further levels.....

The setup I used was primarily scatter lasers and amp/range spires, as that way the turrets don't get stuck shooting the boss. His weakspots do shift, but only if you hit them enough (from what I've seen). Generally, you'll just want to circle around, finding whichever weakspot is open and firing on that. SiMo works well due to the sniper rifle and his passive, and the weakspot multiplier perk helps kill it faster.

Marksman+Phoenix+That one perk that increases movement speed as well as a double jump+SiMo = A dead Fiskeplaske, just quickly scan for the weakspots and see if they are there on the front, and if not, quickly run to the back and get as many shots as possible in there before it changes. Absolutely never let the boss get to the core, if it even attacks the core, you are pretty much instantly dead, considering its insanely overpowered attack.

Also, I find it fairly balanced, considering if you time the lasers right, you can easily get the lumes out of the way when dealing with fiske

I killed it with Sweet somehow when the DLC first came out.

Cheers guys. I combined Rymdskor/Whatever that speed/jump boost perk is with about a 100 mines on SiMo and I just say did it. Core was in the triple digits of health by the time I took it down but it worked - the perk gave me just enough speed to edge out of it's overpowered attack barrage and the mines held back the entire rest of the wave. Phew.

I hope to god that damn thing isn't in any more levels. That thing needs to be re-balanced. There's no reason why something that flies, has more hitpoints than any other boss and ignores everything except player-aimed weakspot hits needs such a powerful attack.
