I have one version for people who played the original, and for those new to the series. I'll begin with the part for those who played the first.
If You Played the First Sanctum:
Buy this. If you had any fun on it, buy this. The addition of player health, ammunition, and maximum limit on blocks might be a turn off, and I know it was for me. Nonetheless, I bought it on a sale, because why not? I was not disappointed. After completing the game, I can say with certainty that this game is far superior to the last one. Trust me, buy it.
For Those New to the Series:
Sanctum 2 is the sequel to the popular game Sanctum, a tower defense game taken to a new direction. It combined FPS elements with tower defense and strategy, as you built mazes to slow progress of monsters travelling on the shortest route to reach the Core, your point of protection. You played down with the blocks/towers, shooting the enemies, sometimes enabling the towers to do damage to them (since a small number of them required to be hit with high damage in a small area to be able to be hit by towers). It was very fun (for me), and I spent hours on it with friends. This game adds restrictions to the maze building system, making it more balanced and fair. It also has new characters, weapons, abilities, enemies, maps, and gameplay improvements. Watch a few videos on YouTube, and if it seems like your cup of tea, buy it, you won't regret it.
