alright game, but...
does anyone else think that it has a terrible soundtrack? the music actually makes the game less enjoyable for me

I think the soundtrack is great, but I'm also biased. =)

"Terrible" is a hard word. I didn't pay too much attention to it. I think there is only one or two tracks? I have it muted right now and play with some other music from YouTube. I will play it with the ingame music at some points again though since I usually prefer playing such games "vanilla" and how they were meant to be played.

The soundtrack has 8 tracks in total: http://soundtracks.martinstraka.de/album/spirits-soundtrack

Sorry, I didn't want to be mean. Just my personal opinion and its a bit sad because I like the game

No problem, everyone's taste is different! The music for the game tends to be love or hate, not much reaction in between.

To each their own, as they say. :)

I find the music to be exquisite and I feel it complements the visual side of the game rather nicely! I really wish there were more than 8 tracks. I love how each track is so different and beautiful. Much love to the composer.

The music was one of the initial reasons I bought the game - not for technical merit (though it is good), but because of 'feel' and atmosphere. By today's game-music standards it is a little 'unconventional', but as a fellow musician, that's what attracted me to it.

Soundtrack is great)

I think its reasonably varied and a great addition to the atmosphere.

Beyond just beautiful and "atmospheric", I think it's important that the music in this game is unobtrusive. I loved the piano piece in Splice - at first. By the end, it was about as pleasant as a root canal without pain killers. Literally made my head hurt (rare for me) at the time concentration was needed most. Ugh.

Can't imagine tiring of this music... or how anyone could "hate" it. Count me under "love".

I agree, this game was a bit disappointing to me because of the music. This game is really pretty but the soundtrack was a bit of a dealbreaker for me. But I seriously can't imagine how difficult it is to conduct music. Thomas Was Alone had beautiful music and that is what made it even more enjoyable to me.

I absolutely love the soundtrack. Sometimes I turn the game on just to listen to it.

I love the soundtrack of this game!

Agreed, irritating cacophony. The game itself is buggy on linux btw — that awful suicidal track does not stop on exit. Have to kill processes manually.
