Pointless Demon Form!
Once i got the demon form, I never once used it in the game. It's pointless, you dont get any extra spells, you can't do any damage, and you use a tail as a weapon!?

Haha , i did not event understand how to use it for a while.

Well , i pretty much just turn the magic shield on and hit stuff with my fire sword , seems to always work.
Damage is really ♥♥♥♥ty which is a big problem. Why put a cool demon into the game if you arn't even gonna use it! Immense. Wow. That was just a waaste of time in my opinion, creating the demon form.

You probably just need to learn how to use it. The first time I played through, I didn't touch it either because the vision is screwy and the camera swings around when you attack. But the damage is insane, particularly with the charge attack, and once you get used to it, you can slice through groups of enemies in a few seconds. Also, you get your life back when you kill them. They certainly could have made it more user-friendly, but demon form is far from useless. If you know how to use it properly, deciding whether or not to cleanse yourself at the temple because a real question instead of a no-brainer.

The demon form is incredibly powerful. As OneManPosse said the Charge hits are near-lethal and you life-leech on kill, which is great if you can't afford to be spamming potions/heal spell.

It's not an instant-win against every creature though, ghouls are some of the toughest encounters in the game and cyclops are their own thing, but you'll mince any goblin/blackguard/vampknight/necro/spider/orc you come across.

Demon form in short: deal ♥♥♥♥hueg amounts of damage with your limbs
Getting rid of demon form: getting cool glowy weapons.
It really sucks it just ameks your weps into claws and a tail. You sohuld be able to do special abilties like huge fireball and flame beam or something. ;P

You should also have some (?), greater (?) resitances. Instead you are crippled with requiring kills to stay in demon form. In any other FRPG this demon would be a lower level... IMO.

I was obvioulsy one who was not skilled in that form, using the available attacks. Instead I spent more time running, swiping and switching out of demon form to heal.

I hate it. I think it's worthless. ;/

You get the demon power at the same time you get the lightening shield, the most awesomest artifact in the game. I never really bothered with the demon form, seems like I'd get one kill and then another enemy would snuff me. Easier to use the shield.

Deamon form is good. As a bad boy you are moving fast and you slay two orcs in a second with 2 - 3 fists. And everythings burns around. It's funny.

Depends on your build. As a fighter, you can easily outdamage the demon form. But i found it quite usefull as a mage to heal up or tear thing apart while waiting for my mana to charge up.

You rely on the big burst of damage from a charge attack, but if that doesn't work, you're defenseless. On the other hand, it is the only reliable way to get past the big worm.

@Foxpass: you can pick up a Sanctuary spell early on, I believe in the room with the first Staff of the Firelord, the chest has one. Keep it tucked away, when you get to the wurm, go up the first set of stairs, enter the open-ended room about the size of the wurm's head. Go to the left rear corner and crouch there. The wurm will attack but not kill you since you're in too small of a space for it to reach. As soon as it pulls out rush to the first little cave area. Get your stamina back up, then run out, over the wooden scaffolding. As you get up top, or possibly even while on the scaffolding, use your scroll. Run the rest of the way; Sanctuary will protect you from the wurm's one attack (that's all it seems to get in after you get off the scaffolding and run along the side).

Rings of the Phoenix may or may not work; I've never used them myself but you get five over the course of the game so they aren't exactly valuable. May as well burn one there if it works, right?
