Lockpicking
Hello, I just beat the game with a Warrior after beating it with a mage (Well, more like a "Warrior Magician" and a "Paladin"), and I'm considering playing with a thief, so, I'm wondering: Is lockpicking really usefull ? Because having done the game twice, I found that there's around 4 chest that can't be open without it, and using 8 skillpoint for that sound like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ waste to me.

Opening locks typically only leads to a few bonus items, spare health and mana potions, some antidotes, getting a few weapons a little bit earlier than otherwise accessible, and a few other small inventory benefits. The only time it's plainly beneficial is after returning to Stonehelm when you need to escort Percy past a pissed off cyclops, going through a locked home helps you bypass the fight entirely.

I have lockpicking, and it is very satisfying.

Also, I like to use it to get the dragonwings, and fly above the enemy in the final stages.
