New player and updates?
Hi two things I like to ask.

1. Is this game still been updated? On store page no new DLC packs or update news?

2. New player statting out tips. I keep getting killed and before i know why its to late. Sure I killed a few to. But the game has no mini map etc. So what the best way to play or go for ie weapons . Are the packs you buy worth it?

So what the best way to start please? thank you

1.This game barely gets updated
I wouldnt advise you playing it Game is pretty dead for a while
Played it in 2013 was already dying out.
2,If you will play it Use the HRV (V on your keyboard)
Though if you do play TF2 or other games
Feel free to add me on Steam!

Packs aren't worth a buy in all honesty, and getting to know how and when to use the HRV (on top of having some idea on how players move around the maps) will usually assist in being killed less.

From the people that've played the game, the majority enjoyed it while it was actively supported, but with some things between the Publisher and Developer it's been lackluster as of late. A fair number of people still play, but many of those that've been playing from CB/OB days have likely moved on by now (more as a result of the Publisher's poor handling of the game than lack of updates).

If you do want to seriously take a look at the game, you can still give it a go on the PC. However if you do have a PS4 it might be better to play that version as the developers have a more direct control of the game (as it's self-published by them rather than going through a Publisher like the PC version).

currently a patch is being developed but the game is still in process of dying out. it is still very fun though, and well worth playing at least a few hours. best tips to give are: dont bother buying zen/spending any real money, every item(except cosmetics) is buyable with GP if you want to put the time in. dont buy anything untill atleast lvl 15, just pick up other peoples guns and get a good idea of what stats you really want from a gun before you waste GP on buying something you wont use. play on proving grounds servers untill you get to lvl 10, because if you are still getting used to the games mechanics then you will be taken apart in the average pub. unless you are good at games like CS then i would turn on static crosshair too, and obviously turn off toggle ADS. hipfire is alot more accurate then other games such as CS/CoD/Battlefield, so take advantage of that as much as possible in maps like metro/helodeck/slumlord, as most avg players dont know what to do when they come up against a hipfire/strafe combo. HRV is a useful tool, so use it to boost your situational awareness, but use it too much and you will find that you die alot more than you should, so using it in moderation is the key. there are tools on the forums that will allow you to customize your FOV above 90 if you really want to(i dont bother with that, gives me a headache) if you want to see some more just general tips/tricks then look up Z3roArmada on youtube, he has alot of good video's for new players. flick me a message if you want to ask me anything else

thank you very much alex it a shame if it not getting played. you know of a patch then?
Yeah there isn't a vast amount of people, and updates dont come often, but still its a great game and you can always find a match, even if you have to spectate a game till the round ends and someone leaves (which doesnt take long as a game only lasts 10 mins or till a team gets 90 kills in TDM). I say please give it a try. I think there would be more people playing if they didnt go to the forums to check the games status first. Because there is always someone who is going to tell you its dead or not to try it. Try it. You will find people. But there are some good players as the ones who like it, stick with it. They will put you to shame until youve learned the maps and can utilize the hrv, but there is always people willing to help. I actually run a clan of active players whose sole purpose it to help new players. So dont be daunted and come try it out! BLR 4 LIFE!! lol I hope they make a new one that sticks to this games roots.
PS. Alexownrz has alot of good tips there, and just to add to the HRV tactics. Its good to use right before you go around a corner. Because you can line your target reticle up with the enemy waiting on the other side before you pop out, saving you from having to aim them up after exposing yourself. Then youll jump out, shoot a burst, kill them, and be back behind the wall before they could even raise their gun. And on the defensive side, if you HRV before going around that same corner and you see a guy running up to attack you, you can judge exactly when he'll pop around and you will already be ready for him. ;P love HRV. Great addition to change up a regular shooter.

I rarely/never used the HRV, still came out in top 1/2 place majority of my games. The people above have given good tips though. It's been awhile since I've played (about 6 or so months), but it is quite a fun game.
