Vince Rowe Reviews========================================
I never thought a 2D game could creep me out as much as Lone Survivor does but damn was I wrong!
Verdict - 8.8 - Amazing GameGraphics - 8/10 - GreatAtmosphere - 10/10 - IncredibleStory - 10/10 - IncredibleCombat - 7/10 - GoodSound - 9/10 - AmazingMusic - 9/10 - Amazing
+ Great Graphics
+ Incredible Atmosphere
+ Nerve Wracking Environments (Extremely eerie and creepy, a lot like Silent Hill)
+ No cheap jumpscares
+ Amazing Sound effects (Really chills you to the bone)
+ Decent Stealth System (But very situational)
+ Great Characters
+ Incredible Storyline with Multiple Endings
- Poor User-Interface
- Extremely confusing map (And as a result is near useless)
- A lot of the combat mechanics are situational (And makes the combat feel linear and scripted)
This games Storyline is what makes this game amazing. I won't spoil anything but I will say this; the reason this game's storyline is so good is because of how well the environment is integrated into the game. It's becoming more and more common for a game's Story to be more of an asset than a full on feature but with Lone Survivor it feels as if the game was made for the story,
and not the other way around.
The graphics aren't terrific, once again it's the typical Pixel Art style, but it's more about the use of colour and how it links with the story which is what makes it great.
It's extremely hard to talk about this game without spoiling at least something... So I'll end this review by saying; I recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of horror games - especially those 8-bit ones - and those who are a fan of interesting and deep Story-lines.If you liked this review or want to see more recommended games, be sure to follow our curator group: Follow Original Curator GroupCheck out the Original Network Groups.
