Despite being fairly short, this is one game that horror fans shouldn't miss.
As the lone survivor (teehee) of some unknown apocalyptic disaster or outbreak, you must struggle to survive on your own with your life and sanity intact.
The game focuses very much on psychological horror. It opts for a very tense and oppressive atmosphere rather than jump scares and over the top horror cliches.
It can be argued that horror is one of the most difficult genres to break into. Fear is a subjective response and what frightens one person may not frighten another. While there wasn't anything that made me reach for a new pair of pants, I was certainly on the edge of my seat the entire time.
In my opinion, the best horror games are those that make you incredibly tense and afraid of the unkown. They make your body cry out for you to quit, they make you hesitant to press on, while at the same time making you crave more. This game did it for me, and I hope it will for you as well.
In conclusion, Lone Survivor is a great horror game. It's certainly not without it's flaws (which I haven't covered here, because they truly are minor), but will certainly not disappoint.
