Strategic Genius?

I've been trying to get this one for a few days now, and just can't seem to do it with any of the strategies I've tried.

The best I've managed is round 249 with 1 life left a couple of times.

Getting past round 100 without losing any lives on medium isn't too hard, but after that it doesn't seem to matter how many mortars and glue towers I build, or in what arrangement, the airwaves just chip away at the lives, sometimes only getting half damaged, even when the same setup took down a blimp just a few waves before or after.

So, whining about airwaves being overpowered past round 100 on medium difficulty aside, does anyone have any tips or strategies to get to round 250?

I managed it in the end, although when I tried to repeat exactly the same strategy, it didn't work, so it would appear to be luck.

By comparison, I did 'daredevil' right after, and despite messing up the start, with 8 lives lost early on, still got it first try.

On which map did you do it?

I'm having the same problem although I can't seem to get past 200. But geting the hard one was simple like the guy above said. I did it on Grasslands with the same build that I've used for easy and medium

Soooo... Can somebody (finally) post here info about tower placement for "Strategic genius"?

Been a few years, anyone made any progress in getting Strategic Genius? 250 rounds on medium, only thing Google brings up is Skyway strategy that I haven't gotten to work yet.

Both Barkaya and myself eventually managed it. I used the Skyway map and after several attempts and a few adjustments it worked.
