Well, this should attract some new players of the game.

Um, the update was released in November 2012. It is now March 2013. They may say this is a 1.x game but the hell it is. This is still a beta stage game and we all paid them ~$20. I expect for that level of cash flow that they work hard on bringing this game up to snuff, not sip cocktails in Bermuda with my money while we still have a beta-level game to play.

Keep up the good work data, don't worry about these haters, I enjoyed this enough that I bought this game a second time when I lost my first code and the email associated with it around one of the high 10s or low 20s beta. This is has provided quite a good time!

One of the Steam pages says launch, does not mention a sale, for $17.99 .. I paid $19.95 for it yesterday. Would be nice to see an updates, would you like some help? I got laid off recently, think I'm going to move to LA, for the most part, I am .. at 40 yrs old, I gotta do something .. I don't mind being broke, would be nice to have something to sink my teeth into .. an update would be great, esp. I was thinking the game recently was put on Steam and .. what is going on exactly? whew ..

This game is still clearly beta quality, and development is slow/nonexistent. I would be disappointed, except that I got it via a $5 Humble Indie Bundle purchase.

I keep coming back to it once in a while because it is unique, but it rarely gets updates, and even more rarely gets fixes for serious flaws. I don't think there's any hope for this game, and that makes me sad.

Edit: The developer is also working on a second game, which probably means there is less/little interest in fixing this one.

Slight correction there, he anounced Cave Vehicle Engine like two years before releasing Cortex Command on Steam, and continued work on CC... and admitedly the very awaited Workshop update is taking a long time...

Would be kinda nice if Data woul give us a rough idea of progress, I realise he's working on this update when he's in the mood or feeling motivated, but a rough idea of progress would be nice. I keep an eye on his twitter feed but can't help feeling something like Starbounds Roadmap would be greatly appriciated and allow players to apparicaite what data has completed rather than the large blackness of guessing between updates.
