Cortex Command is really awesome.
First of all, I want to thank developer for this game (i know he was reading game hubs). I was really tired of tons of 2D platformers with the same gameplay, but this game brings so many new game mechanics, it is really hard to believe until you try it. I'm glad developer has not abandoned this project years ago.

I've really enjoyed CC. I'm not a friend of developer or something. I have not even heard about this game before it was released on Steam. So i'm just telling what is see and feel.
I have not seen any game breaking bugs yet. Yes, sometimes it is hard to walk (if your robot is heavy), but it is not a bug. Sometimes AI is doing not very smart things, but it happens in all games. So, in my opinion, CC is a pretty solid and finished game.

There are only 2 things i'm wating from the developer in future: Steam Workshop support and Linux version of 1.0

Well, i agree the price is too high for even a very good indie title, but if it gonna be on sale for <$12, it will be 100% must have.

And now the most unpleasant part: trolls.
If you are trying to figure out is CC any good or not, and see some guy posting a lot of comments about "alpha state" and refund, just check his account. I bet he haven't played the game at all and just trolling. Or played for 0.1 hour (about 5 minutes), was killed in tutorial, rage quited and came here, to share his rage with other silly young trolls.

I've had this game since 2009 HB. It was ♥♥♥♥♥ back then. Its ♥♥♥♥♥ right now.

Its an engine with some gameplay features. And some demos of how it can be used. An outdated, clunky and generally quite poorly made engine. All it lacks is a game.

"But you can download 30000000000 mods" Sure. That works if you got it with a humble bundle as a random game you paid a fraction of a dollar for. For 20bux you can get... Oh I don't know? A fully functional game like Torchlight 2?

And no offence but if you think that its finished then I guess you are the one who didn't play it since on the very first screen it says that its not :)

One note about the time played issue...

Many users have had this game for years, especially people drawn to the Humble Indie Bundles. I have had this game since HIB2, have downloaded 3 different versions, have taken the time to figure out the controls and such and I bet I am not alone. Just because I don't feel it is worth my time, or the $20 they are currently asking, does not mean I am dumb, think the game is too hard, or never gave it a shot.

If you like the game and are willing to play it as is, good for you. I really think the people who are thinking of buying it should get the whole story. It is not the finished product it appears to be on the Steam store page.

It's a very good game and a price drop would be welcome, but finished? Nah... it needs work, I can understand something like the seam bug not being fixed on release (it's been a problem forever and Data still hasn't figured it out) but the wonky gold dig AI and inability to fullscreen both should have been before release.

Well I'm eagerly awaiting The Rolling cheese to walk in and say "uninstall the game" cuing the fact that he didn't even play the game, and then he makes a complete fool of himself.
