I Wish CC Wasn't Dead. What Happened?
First of all this game is awesome, one of the best indie games I've played. I've played it 40+ hours and I still get a kick out of it, I did add in mods but that is what this game is all about. So my question is what happened? If you've played this game before you know what Im talking about. Does anyone know why it died? I wish that they still worked on this game, updated it and add in online multiplayer. This game needs a revive.

Seems the update process is in stagnation...

..I myself am getting restless will the game get updated or not.

This is the way it has been for years, unfortunately. Data will eventually release another little update then you will wait for months for another one. 'Tis a real shame...

Well if he'll finish the workshop (When, judging by his twitter account, is implemented but needs interface to be set up) there will almost be no need in any official updates anymore, appart from technical issues and bugs, but so many of those seem to be simply rooted into the game engine not sure if they're actually fixable...

they are people, give them time for the real world if u still enjoy it

Data could have a badass game but they left it unfinished. They need to complete the workshop. Then they can enjoy the real world, and I can enjoy an awesome game.

Data doesnt care about the game, so no one else does.

Well seen as we pay money for the game they must get alot of money so this is their job so they have to spend allot of time on it not just like some side mod that people do in their spare time.

Whether Data cares about it or not, I'm not going to buy a game from someone who has shown a lack of commitment to a game beyond it's initial release, or a lack of focus. He knows he's left it unfinished (it even says so in the Campaign intro screen), and yet he's already gone off and started something new.

Well he did promise to release an update and he did post some progress on update... so don't think it's really just "gone off".

Last time I buy a game that gets updated every several months. Rather buy games that has devs which arent total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s that will actually put effort into making their game a gem.

^ Data worked on this game for about 12 years, even if it was slowly, so you at least gotta give him credit for that.

At any rate he said that online multiplayer would most likely never be implemented due to the high amount of transfer required by the physics engine, which is just fine for me to be honest, as I am endlessly addicted to playing Control Chip Hunt on zombie cave for the hilarious outcomes.

There are plenty of great mods to try out if you're waiting for the next update, and even a mod manager to unload and load mods as you wish. I highly recommend them as most of them are really well made with great pixel art.

They're pretty easy to download, all you have to do is extract them to the main Cortex Command folder.

Eh, I'm just glad it has mod support. I wish the devs still worked on it, or atleast made a watered down multiplayer mode

Started playing for a few weeks and stop, game is way too buggy and I had alot of lag problems. Doesn't seem finished, so I guess this one will have to collect Steam dust. I know it was stated that the game wasn't finished, but I wish it was polished before it was released, probably could have made more sales. Some people just don't have the time, patience or feel lazy just to do all the extra modding and tweeking for the game to work. Good luck to the dev with his future project, hopefully it doesn't turn out like this
