Will they ever add multiplayer?
Does anybody know? I'd love to conquer a site with a buddy at my side.

networked mplay is not planned for cc1; the engine is simply not set up well for it.. however, our next project which has a whole new engine built from the ground up, IS designed to support it eventually :)

That's a shame. Online multiplayer would have really made this game great. Are you guys at least planning additional updates to CC1 in the future?

i am; the next project is being worked on by someone else; i am only directing it :) I'm still full time on CC until i consider it truly finished

I think it's not too hard to include mplayer into the game, especially if you think creatively. And I think you can do it for those people, who can't play with friend in split-screen mode... If it really hard, you may do something like DLC. Nothing is impossible... I hope you'll do something :D

It's kinda bound to a single CPU, so multiplayer would be possible only if engine would be completely rewritten. Like, entirely, from scratch!

I've heard people playing through desktop sharing programs with terrible lag. Look, if your game is so good that poeple are willing to deal with THAT for internet multiplayer, maybe you should think about adding that feature somehow =]
Yes, it has been confirmed that at some point, it will go online. Me and some friends are making a 16 player online mod, so you can always just download that when it's done.

When will it be done, can you send us the link when its completed, and Data Realms might face challenges when updating the game, especially after a long time of no work, but why can't they just hire people to help program it, I mean, Just Cause 2 used to be single player and tons of people joined together to build a free online mod a year ago, and now its excelent and runs amazingly smooth, so again, just hire some people, you'll get it done a LOT faster.

I would pay hundreds of dollars just to see this game go Multiplayer, even LAN would be a HUGE SUCCESS.

Also, some ppl already made some kind of MP mod, if a guy could made that mod, I guess Develouper/s Can do something even better :)
