Eldast THE LASER SHARK! +++ Apr 22, 2013 @ 8:17am
I've cried...a lot!
I Know, this is dumb but...
At the end of the game (One involving Hyun-ae, no spoilers i promise xD) i've cried like a baby ( in fact, i've cried at every end xD xD xD)
This is more than a normal game, is a masterpiece.
I love the game, i love the story, i love his simple mechanics (well, no so simple maybe :P)
Sorry for the dumb post and sorry for my bad English :P

Do you know one thing? One thing have scared me, a lot.
The game is in a future era,but not so future...
I mean, the man can travel the universe and he treat the women like that?
Maybe is not a so strange future and this scare me.
And do you think the ending is sad? In my opinion the Hyun-ae is quite happy, a little bit strange, butt an happy one. (The good ending, of course!)

In general, I understood the meaning of the game, but to understand it completely I need a translation.

Yup, i have to admit one thing.
In some parts of the game i've readed again and again some files, just to understand completely what they mean. Yea, i know, my english is not perfect as you can see ç_ç

Don't worry about crying. This games is basically a novel, and it's natural finding a story touching. I, myself [ALERT, SPOILERS, ALERT!] nearly cried at the end of "Digital: a love story", after Emilia, the bodyless AI that becames more or less your "digital girlfriend" and who's essentially a person without body but with a soul, comites suicide to stop the bad AI that has been hunting other AIs around the Internet for years and that is, basically, a dark digital emperor trying to use the net against other AIs and the Humanity.

Note [WITH SPOILERS TOO!!!]: "Digital: a love story" is in some way a prequel of "Analogue: a Hate Story", and the posibility of saving *Mute or *Hyun-ae makes the game much less soulcrushing. Ok, at the end everyone is dead except for a poor lonely AI who has suffer a lot... but you save her, and although the physical part of the relationship could be a problem, an entity with consciensce and feelings is save and in good shape, not like poor Emily, broken and probable beyond any possibility of living again (it's a logical conclusion in both games: an AI can become a living been).

Don't feel bad.
I cried too.

Also, I think that I could probably write a computer program to simulate sensory stimulation so that hyun-ae could actually feel and taste food and stuff =D. (This being in my fantasy world in which Hyun-ae is real and I'm working for the Korean Space Agency)

Let me rephrase my post: which ending was it?
Giandalf Aug 23, 2013 @ 10:34am
I think it's very brave to make a discussion where you said you cried at the ending and you know, I cried too. When I got *Hyun-ae's ending I was so touched and so sad to see her go (even though I was really happy about her and her investigator). I mean especially since Love has said she won't make another sequel, it's unlikely I'll ever see that cute AI girl again (unless I started writing tons of fanfiction or something ^^).

Anyway just thinking about it still makes me sad inside, these games truly are masterpieces.

Yes, they are...maybe if we all start writing tons of fanfiction there (Like maybe chances from 1/1000000000000) could be a chance

This kind of story has to be written out of passion and should invoke passion in the reader. It was the first game in a long time to make me wince, even when I predicted what was comming I couldn't prepare for it. I was glad to play Hate Plus, and I must reccomend doing so to the OP. Of course I won't spoil anything, but it's at least as much of a masterpiece and TOTALLY changed how I saw *Mute.

That's why though I doubt there will ever be a sequel. This has to be something you WANT to write, not simply a service to render. If she's told the whole story she wanted to tell I doubt Love will revisit it unless a Muse strikes her, but that won't have anything to do with if we like it or pester her. I feel like Love shared a part of herself and to get emotional about it is only fair. I feel honored to have been allowed to share in it.

(And now I must be quite for, I cannot say anything in defense of a sequel)
