Legendary Enchants

I'm trying to get all the achievements. I've gotten almost all of them now, and the only ones left are the legendary enchant ones (and the "die 100 times" one). I'm on continent 6, and I just spent four hours doing nothing but grinding for enchants, both partial and whole, and bought a few dozen randoms. I did not get a single epic, let alone a legendary. Is there some secret to it? A trick? I want to get all of them, but I haven't even seen one!

I've only just gotten to the second continent for the first time, so I figure I'm far from ready to consider tackling those, but I was wondering if they might only show up as drops from an Overlord or maybe Lieutenants.

I couldn't find any information on it either, so I'm just throwing that out there. That could make for some lengthy grinding if there really isn't any other way.

Oh, I'll give that a shot! I didn't get anything from the other lieutenants or overlords, but I haven't fought any on this continent. It's worth a try! If that doesn't work, I'll just keep trying on the next couple continents.

If I remember correctly, I got one enchant from each of my lieutenants, and two from the overlord. I believe they were all at least the second grade, while every other enchant I've gotten so far has been common, and that's after doing a good deal of maze rooms. That could be due to the low level right now though. I would guess that the bosses at least have a higher chance of dropping a legendary.

Quoting the relevant part:

"Enchant quality doesn't improve by how many of that enchant you get, but rather increases as your world level goes up."

Sounds like it might become more likely to show up the further you get into the game.

I got that much. This is why I've waited so long to search; I'm now on continent 6, above level 20, and I've gotten literally every other achievement in this game.

I know. I was simply saying that your chances might improve the further you go. The designers might have intended for the player to just continue to play the game naturally, so as to gradually increase the odds of finding them. Without any input from someone who's gotten them, I'm unsure on when they start becoming likely to show up.

So how long do I have to wait for legendaries to drop? Right now I'm at the 18th continent with the world level 90+ and all I get from LT's and OV's are blue and rarely purple enchants and epic orbs. I've got one legendary at level ~40, but I'm not sure what've triggered that drop. Was it something I did on that continent or what? ;/

I continued to play through, and I go after the red enchant containers, and I've gotten 3 legendaries now. So... it's just a matter of getting as many enchants as you can, while getting the continent level as high as you can.

Maze rooms are okay, but what really gets it is the storage rooms in shacks. The red enchant containers are an immediate 100% enchant.

So you say they can drop from those as well and all this boss hunt was futile from the start? xD

Boss drops can also be legendary. But yes, legendaries can drop from any enchant pickup.

Currently on Continent 15 and I've gotten two Legendary (Orange) Enchants so far and a couple of Epic (Purple) Enchants. I still get too many greens and plain enchants.

I've been blasting through the continents by ignoring wind damage and only using windmills for the docks. I think I'll stick with one continent for a while to finish up some remaining unlockables but this quest for Legendary Enchants has become much too grindy.

I agree that it's a little too grind-intensive to get that last couple of achievements, and it seems like by the time one has reached continent 30 or so (I'm on 41), Legendaries should be showing up with much greater frequency. But c'est la vie. As long as I have someone to play Valley with, I'll just take them as I see them. The game's pretty fun otherwise.

Im at continent 5 at the moment, when picking up whole enchants (from the chests) I almost never get below uncummon. Got a couple of epics though, so yeah just have to get the continent level higher. So, if I read what you wrote correctly, around level 30 it becomes much more frequent to find legendaries?

I started getting my first legendaries around level 30, yes. Continent 7 or 8, I think. But the frequency didn't increase much past that point.
