Hero Academy on a Windows 8.1 pro tablet
So I got a new Asus Transformer Book T100. So excited to play steam and more importantly, Hero Academy by touching the screen basically cheating the system not needing an iPad or iPod. But I've run into a snag.

Once it launches, I can touch games and then select which game I'm going to play, then as soon as I'm in the game, touch controls don't work anymore. I have to use a mouse on my tablet, which I'm more dissapointed in than it not working at all. I don't get why it works until I get to a game. Does anyone else have any ideas? Is there settings I'm missing? To be clear, it works fine with a mouse, but I can't click it with the touch screen.

I haven't played this on my tablet yet but try it in windowed mode (if it has one).

Hey there, I´m sorta having the same issues. I have an Hybrid, and when I´m using it as a tablet, the touch doesn't register any actions. Which is weird since this game came from iOS to Steam, it was suppose to work with touch interfaces. Fix this, please!

Has anyone reached out to the Devs? I did get a reply from them on Twitter when I asked about the game coming to Windows Phone. But I haven't tried asking them about this issue. Seems weird since it's on iPhone, it should be able for touch controls.

what did they say regarding the windows phone?

Sadly Windows 8 had under 5% of the market when this game came out years back and I think they only tested the PC version with Windows 7. Touchscreens were not very common with Windows 7 and there is a good chance they didn't test with it. Robot Entertainment often puts out games on PC and then doesn't come back to them--they haven't said anything in the forums here for years and the game is essentially the same as it was years ago when it released.

I didn't know they were a developer that doesn't support their games when I bought into this one but I know now.

@SeGoLecTriCk I did tweet them about Windows Phone and they replied they had no plans in the future.
@comp9 It is a bummer that they haven't supported it much. It's weird how the touch controls work for the main menu, but nothing beyond that. So it clearly seems like something they could just enable with a bit of code. But maybe it takes more work than that, and it's not worth it to them. I wish they would though.
