The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition

A THANK YOU from a Linux customer
I played through the game right after Linux release. It was painful at times but I got there in the end. I've been loading it up again over the past few days and it's amazing how far it has progressed.

I know a lot of people put stock in true native ports (I guess I do too) but the quality of this semi-port has improved to the point where I honestly don't care. It runs, no, it runs well.

Thanks for your continued development. Now I'm going to play through it again.

yeap, latest betas have really improved performance to a very playable game right now, I don't miss to play it on windows and that's the goal I guess, a few more fixes and whatever more performance they can extract will be welcome, but good job fixing it nevertheless.

Another happy customer!

PS: can't wait for witcher 3 under linux too (instabuy)

I also bought this game for my linux computer it runs smooth on low details (as far as I tested this game). its seems i need a new grafik card to play it on higher details. till then i wait a little bit befor I go on.

but thanks to the devs for porting.

on latest beta i am playing in high, not noticing any lag. Geforce 780 though.

Performance is MUCH better, I have to admit, but the audio is a bit tinny.

A bit tinny ? Not "woody" enough ? Sorry old horse :D

On a serious note, the audio should be identical - we feed exactly the same data from exactly the same sound engine (FMOD Ex) out.

you guys running Intel CPU or what cause its really sh-_ with AMD A8 APU on my desktop and my notebook. Textures splatter every where and text goes nuts ive got photos but looks like i cant post them here. I havent tried my AMD Kabani APU yet but with it being AMD im thinking it will do the same thing. Where's the bug reports section that is what i was looking for when i got here.

This is a bug in fglrx's ARB_texture_storage. we're working on a workaround for it. We're not the only game using this extension that's affected.
