Read this when you get the Direct3D error!
It seems a lot people get this error here so i will write everything down here what i actually know about this problem:

1. Somehow CoD Ghost is able to crash/overload DirectX what causes this problem.
According to the Microsoft website, this happens because: The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application.

2. Most time restarting your computer fixes this problem (till it crashes again). Restarting your computer simply restarts DirectX. So i think if there would be a way to restart DirectX without rebooting the computer it could solve the problem too. Sadly i didn´t had success with this yet :/

3. AA can cause this problem too. Turn it COMPLETLY off. I didn´t tryed it yet but it´s proven that this error comes up more often when u put AA on very high.
(AA -> Anti Aliasing)

4. This error can cause "CoD Ghost stopped working" when you ignore it and just try to restart the game.

5. Somehow running Graphiccards in SLI/Crossfire mode can also cause this problem. I guess using only 1 of both graphiccards should be able solve that problem. The same can happen when your computer uses your graphiccard AND an CPU integrated graphicchip. This can be changed in the Bios settings.

6. Check your computer for updates. Especially DirectX,VCRedist, Dotnet and your graphiccard Driver. Older versions can cause this problem too. (Btw it doesn´t help downloading diretX11 when your graphiccard doesn´t support it. The graphiccard will simply run in Dx9/Dx10 mode).

7. CoD Ghost requires a Graphiccard which FULLY SUPPORTS Dx11. I´m not sure if u are able to launch the game when u don´t have Dx11 installed (or a graphiccard that doesn´t support it), but maybe that´s another reason for this error. It doesn´t help when your graphiccard supports only some features of Dx11 neither!

- You want to know which DirectX Version you have installed?
Click on the Windows Button and type dxdiag in the search bar and open the dxdiag.exe. You can find your DirectX Version in the System Tab and watch it´s status on the Display Tab (DirectX Status).

ATTENTION: DirectX11 comes up with Windows 7/8. It can happen that you will find DirectX11 in dxdiag even you have a graphiccard that doesn´t support Dx11 (the graphiccard simply runs in Dx9/Dx10 mode ).

Hope i can help some people with this thread. Feel free to comment your experience with this Error :)

nope it crashes no matter what with the DXGI error i get maybe one round of play in then halfway through the next it will crash and everything is up to date

I'm also running Dx11. I can get into multiplayer, play it(sort of) and then in the middle of the match, it'll crash and give me the weird "DirectX error" and make me force quit. Also I can't get pass the damn doors in the first level of single player without getting the damn error again.

Hmm thats the problem i wrote above :/ Sadly there isn´t a way to prevent this error yet. It looks like we have to wait for a patch from activition. But u could try turning AA completly off if u didn´t tryed that out yet. Another user had success with that and my game didn´t crashed since i turned it off too.

Try out what i wrote above, because that is kinda everything what you can do at the moment (except waiting for a patch). Hope activition will solve that problem very fast :/

That happened to me earlier. I just updated my computer and lowered the graphics a little. I got into multiplayer after that.

Number 2 doesn't work for me it still crashes and number 3 when i try to change any of the settings it causes the game to crash.
