DirectX has encountered an unrecoverable error - Call of Duty : Ghosts

So for some reason, I can run Call of Duty : Black Ops 2 perfectly fine on my computer but Ghosts, everytime I start the game, comes up with the error message, "DirectX has encountered an unrecoverable error".

I don't understand why this is happening, I've tried reinstalling DirectX (despite me already being on DX11) reinstalling COD about 4 times and have tried multiple other "fixes" for this but none have worked.

Pls help.

Same here,
my computer meets all the system/hardware requirements, running DirectX 11 etc..
but i still get that DirectX error.. The boys at Activision need to get their ♥♥♥♥ together.

I sent a request for a refund from Steam yesterday, no answer yet. I would rather be able to play the game but it looks like that's not happening..

its because of your graphics card dont support directx11

I have the same issue, is there any way of how we can get around this nonsense? I am running a lot of games without any difficulty but Ghosts is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with me. I have DirectX11 on the pc up and running but still doesnt work .

Your graphics card should support DX11, not the installed DX version on your pc........

I have resolved this issue on my PC - I returned Ghosts to Amazon and got a refund! Now I'll wait for Titanfall

You need a top of the range Graphics card even with that the graphics are POOR and dont get me started on "multihacker"

Ok i have read though this thread and not once as anyone stated they graphic card. It doesn't matter what DX version your using, you must have a DX11 graphics card. Now OP, what card are you using.
