"DEVICE REMOVED".... stop removing your card while you play the game?

I assume you are joking...I haven't removed anything.

A mobile version of the 6570? In other words, an onboard graphics card? That would be why - you do not meet the minimum system spec.

Forgive me if I have misunderstood you.

I guess I may be the one that doesn't understand. I didn't know there was a differenece between a mobile and non-mobile version.

Mobile = laptop
Non-mobile = desktop PC.

But my main question was - is it an on-board graphics card? Is it in a laptop?

It is in a laptop. Not sure what you mean by "on-board"...do you mean on the mother board?

I would say that it is below minimum specs. And for that reason, you are getting a DirectX error message associated with under specification machines (it was an error notorious for Black Ops 1 running on XP and using under specs graphics cards).

And yes, I was asking if it was built into the motherboard. Laptops come with some decent graphics cards these days as part of the motherboard.

Thank you very much for the help. Any hope beyond a new board with a more powerful graphics card???? I don't understand why I was able to play two MP games without issue but then the crash and error. SP always failed.

I get this exact error too. It crashes at the exact same spot everytime at the begining of the game after the first cutscene. It's literally unplayable for me.
I've got 16GB of RAM, a 680GTX & a i7 3770K. I've got the game installed on an SSD too.
& This happens in multiplayer too within the first 10 seconds of gameplay :[

Ditto - exactly the same place. I more than meet min specs (1GB ATI DX11 - 6770M [Yes it's a mobile card but it's a discrete 1GB unit not onboard), 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD etc. Ran that online utility too posted elswhere on the forums and it passes the minimum specs with flying colours...also runs other top spec games such as Metro Last Light, Crysis 1,2, 3 etc etc))

Hey guys, I disabled the steam overlay & to my surprise it fixed the problem!
Hope it works for everyone else too. Cheers
