Has this game been improved in terms of stability?
Hi there. I played this game when it was brand new and I had some serious issues with it. The first time I booted up the campaign it was fine until I got to the mission where I get to use riley for the first time. What happened was when I was sneaking around with him, I experienced some memory leak issues. I went to the main menu and then back into the game and it was fine, then later when the Santa Monica base get's attacked, I experienced a system shutdown error. I figured it was just the game being way too buggy so I decided to wait for a patch, the patch came and I tried it again. This time it crashed at the same spot but my computer would not reboot like it usually does.

I decided to uninstall the game for a week or so, then I downloaded it all again. The game was actually working for me! I was able to beat the campaign and I moved onto to Multiplayer, I spend about 17 hours in total playing it but at the last hours I encountered it again, this time twice.

Since I've been able to play the game for that time and keeping my graphics drivers up to date plus playing so many games (it's been almost 6 months so I doubt it's my PC) and I was wondering if the game is stable for anyone else? I've been wanting to go back to this but I've uninstalled it after the last crash and now it's close to 25 GB of download (my internet isn't that fast)

Thanks in advance
if you're curious about my specs it's:
Windows 7 64 Bit Home premium
NVidia GTX 670 2 GB VRAM
Intel i5 3570K 3.4 GHz Quad Core
8 GB of RAM

improved but still not great. You can run the game in high settings at 60fps for the most part, not max.
The reason that the stability not being great is that there are random fps drops on certain areas of the map.

I thank you for your response. The FPS drops isn't much of concern as I can run quite a bit of games maxed out and I can't expect every game to be like that. My concern was only if the crash problems has been fixed (Like I said, I've ruled out my PC after almost 6 months since I last played it)

"The FPS drops isn't much of concern " are you kidding! the sun rises and sets on how many frames one gets. I spend huge piles of money on video cards and expect to get 60 fps with settings all maxed out

Each and every person has different expectations of their video cards. It may be a concern to you but not to me since I've been used to console games running at 30 FPS for a very long time.

the crashing and freezing probably are fixed. No guarantees. Seems more stable.

FPS drops really hurt aiming (imagine mouse sensitivity that changes every now and then).
You are lucky if it's not that bad for you to notice.

Well it's been a while since I last played it and from what I remember I didn't have much problem with it. Although that doesn't mean that it could have been but it wasn't engraved into my skull

It performs better now (for me but not for many others), but still nothing much to write home to Mom and Uncle Jed about.
