CAPCOM, do things well, please
Dear CAPCOM, we are still waiting for you. What about saving your best titles from GFWL abyss??? At least, you should patch "Street Fighter X Tekken", "Super Street Fighter 4" (and I know that this one has your bless, and so will be saved) and "Resident Evil 5".

All these, are games that had a great commercial success. So, there isn't any reason to leave them die.

Above all, your CUSTOMERS bought these games with real money, and so they have the right to continue using them.

Thank you for listening, I hope.

Hm... They do not have time and money for this.
They make the Super Resident Evil 4 Real HD...

I do not believe that CAPCOM is solely the problem guy here. What about Namco?

The previous Street Fighter titles got "saved" except for this one, which only can mean that there was a problem between the two companies.

It's most likely a cost issue. Perhaps Namco didn't want to pay for moving the game into steamworks or perhaps vice versa. As much as I wish it happends, I doubt that Capcom nor Namco will ever do it, which indeed saddens me. I guess I'll have to eat a cookie then.

But as I understand Namco didn't develop this game. Namco only allow to Capcom use Tekken characters.

It's still a partnership between the two companies. Maybe CAPCOM asked Namco to pay a small fee combined with CAPCOM for the transaction (from GFWL to Steamworks) and Namco declined?

I still believe that it's a cost issue.

Namco develop their own Tekken X Street Fighter. I saw no mention of direct cooperation between Capcom and Namco during SFxT / TxSF development. Maybe it's a cost issue, but it's a Capcom issue. If Namco not allowed to pass on Steamworks, Capcom would already have been told about this.

"But, at the same time, I also want to try to appeal to consumers to not get up at arms when a company shuts off the servers for your favourite game. I know, you love the game, you paid good money for it, those are completely valid reasons to be upset. But also try to be understanding, because no company ever wants to do that. They do it because they have to. James (in case you're wondering, he's reffering to his friend James, someone who works on games from time to time) has been there before. When you're in a studio and shutdown day comes, people there are upset. They poured their heart and soul into that game, spent years of their lives working on it...they hate it being shut down almost as much as you do, and the LAST thing they need is to be flamed on the forums or called jerks over it. Running multiplayer games is expensive. Sometimes it's an expense the company can't afford, so...try to cut them a little slack. It's already hard enough watching your work die."

Yes, I know that quote doesn't exactly fit with this, in fact it barely fits the discussion at all, but...I just felt like you should calm down and understand that Capcom might WANT to move this game to Steamworks, but something's not letting them. But in regards to the whole "MOVE THIS TO STEAMWORKS OR ELSE!" thing...I'm kinda with you. Just so you know.
