I wouldn't suggest this game to anyone else than Resident Evil-fanatics such as myself. It's a very average 3rd person "team" shooter. You mow down lots of rampant zombies, virus-altered creatures and opposing human forces as a unit of the Umbrella Security Services operatives in the legendary Raccoon City viral outbreak. I found the single player AI team's behavior to be extremely stupid and co-op action with other players seems nigh impossible since the community is pretty much nonexistent.
If you are a die-hard Resident Evil fan, you might get a few kicks out of the game and I don't mind that I paid a couple euro for a few hours of gameplay. It has most of the familiar creatures from the older RE-games - zombies (the good ole' T-Virus ones), Hunters, Tyrants, etc. The human enemies weren't interesting or challenging at all but mere filler encounters between the monster ones.
If this game is missing from your library and you own many other Resident Evil games, pick it up when it's on sale. Otherwise you'll be better off playing ANY other Resident Evil game, whether it be the classic tank control ones or the more modern ones. A little recap for the end and a few more pluses and minuses:
+ classic and memorable Resident Evil enemies and side characters
+ fast-paced combat (when playing with non-AI team mates)
+ fair selection of weaponry and character skills
+ you meet HUNK "in person"
+ decent visuals for a 2012 game
- very short
- lacks any real replayability
- ridiculously stupid AI team members
- some combat quirks such as seemingly infinite stunlocks from multiple Hunter lunges
- enemies have very high health (when did Hunters require 10+ shotgun blasts?)
