I quite like it, actually - makes it very easy to tell how much time's left on a reload/refire without having to look at the gun's animation. You can keep an eye on your target and line up your next shot with a very clear indicator of when you'll be able to fire next.

Hit indicator's fine too - doesn't seem different enough to worry about (unless you mean those smaller dots on either side of the crosshair, I never even notice those in the heat of the moment).

I like the new ones. You suck

When using the new Hades on a ship like the Junker you cant see where the round is going, much less the new, and much smaller hit markers. Seems that gun was designed with frontal assualt ships in mind, because the major obstruction to your field of view is pretty crappy.

Well at least that plate on the Hades has one of those arc-assist things - the gap in it with the numbers beside it, estimate the distance to target and you can use the notches in that to work out how high you should aim. Only tried it out in Practice mode so I don't know how obscuring it is when the ship's moving and you're having to lead the shot.

EDIT: And if you're still checking this thread, Irate, can you tell us why you don't like the new hit indicator? "It sucks" isn't very helpful.

Don't bother, Irate is known for having a general distaste for things ingame, but never actually explaining why. All of his threads can be summed up to "This sucks" or "I hate this" with little to no information besides that.

Well hopefully if I egg him on about it for long enough he'll start answering.

Or, y'know, get banned for harrassment. I may not have thought that through too well. :P

I personally prefer them, they're more informative and generally makes shooting things a bit easier

I'm kind of hoping he ends up on a ship captained by Jesse Cox one of these days - he'd probably make a post complaining about Large Ham[tvtropes.org] captains who get too into character and start Chewing the Scenery[tvtropes.org]. :P

Also; I apologise for linking TV Tropes, but they're there for those who don't recognise the terms.
