Router issues still not fixed
I just recently purchased the game, but I'm completely unable to play due to this "corrupted UDP packet" issue with my Linksys WRT54GS router. The thing I don't understand is why this is the only game I have problems with if it's a router issue. I have played countless PC and Xbox 360 games through this router, as has my roommate, and we never experience constant disconnections. Why is Guns of Icarus Online the one and only game that's so sensitive to UDP packet corruption? Why am I still experiencing this issue after a patch was issued that supposedly cleared these issues up?

And before anyone suggests it, plugging my computer directly into the modem is not an option for me. My PC isn't anywhere near the modem to plug into it, and even if it was it would cause problems for my roommate and all the other internet connected devices in the house.

Soooo is this ever going to be fixed? The game looks like a lot of fun, but I'm completely unable to play at this point. Kinda feel a little ripped off since there's no upfront mention of this issue, I only realized I'd wasted my money once I tried to play and then read the fine print. Boo!

Hey DrJonez,
I'm really sorry you're having this issue and it appeared we solved this problem for many players, but let's see what we can do to get you in the sky.
Can you grab your log (found here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\guns of icarus online\GunsOfIcarusOnline_Data\output_log.txt )

Also can you enter the following commands (on the command prompt) and let me know the results:

Can you also let us know what ethernet card you're using?

Just send all the information to and we'll have the engineers look at your problem.

@DrJonez, for the origin of the issue, we use Unity as our game engine and Photon as the game server solution, and they don't compensate UDP packet corruption as we found out. They did deliver a fix for the issue and it worked for others who were having this issue. We tested internally with the same router model as well. If you can help us go through the support steps, we can try to help you pinpoint and solve the issue, as network connection disruption can have a few different causes. Let's help us be sure what the cause is first. Thanks a lot!

@DrJonez, actually, when you email us, can you include your in game name as well? We can actually see definitively if your issue is caused by the router or not. Thanks! Howard
