and
the Steam Sale trolls...
The sheer volume of trolls who came with the steam sales.. everything from purposfully letting the ship die, to racist insults, the steam sale trolls will have pushed a lot of regulars onto another game until things calm down again.
Things will pick up again it's just a matter of the good guys realising the ugly have gone.
I often do report them :)
I'm not long time vet but it definately appears to work like this! :)
:)
Outside of steam-sales we've usually got 200-500 players in the evening (for EU and US). If you want to play while Europe works and the US sleeps, you will still be able to do so, as there are always a couple of lobbies running at any time of the day, but you won't be able to be picky.

Gotta agree with Kamoba about some of the reasons why. The MM system seems to have put a lot of long time players off and having encountered one of these trolls last night I can see why. Being forced into lobbies with them really just mkaes you want to put the game down and play something else. Guy named President Jackson was my gunner and the whole game he just sat in the Flare gun on the back of my Pyra and called my ship garbage build refusing to man the forward guns or even repair. It was a throw away game and complete waste of everyone's time
It's not so much an issue of finding a lobby but finding a lobby you want to play in. Lot of people don't fancy crewing a ship of a lv 1 captain, more so when the opposing team captains are lv 20+. It most likely will be a slaughter with no opportunity to even teach the new guy anything.
