THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTE CRAP!
I am an avid fan of the Batman series and i have to say this game sucks. There are more glitches than i can count, combat sucks and it's so unresponsive. The list of glitches that I had TODAY consisted of not being able to use gadgets until i restarted the game, not being able to fly right after getting launched from the batplane, unable to counter and NOT BEING ABLE TO USE MY DETECTIVE MODE! Those are only a few. This game is such a ♥♥♥♥ job i can't even begin to understand how they thought this was ready. When I say combat sucks I mean the martial artists are bad, I can't block them half the time, it's unresponsive and overall if feels very slow and sluggish. In arkham city I was able to get to a 200X-300X multiplyer no problem. In this game I can only get to like 40X. And the absolute worst, WORST problem, the ground pound doesn't work. If I knock someone on the ground, I ♥♥♥♥ you not, HALF THE TIME I have to wait for them to get back up, have to knock them down and THEN do the ground pound. And when I interrogate someone, I can't just press counter like in arkham city and batman immediately starts interrogating them, I have to counter them then wait until they're scared enough o hit them. And im not even going to go through the decreasing quality of the side missions, maps and my favorite thing which are the riddler challenges. The only thing I like more in this game is how much more evil the joker is. Whoever directed this game did a ♥♥♥♥ job and should feel deeply ashamed of themselves, and I'm not just putting this up the week it came out, this is MONTHS and they still haven't fixed the glitches in this game. The game is a disappointment and I would ask for a refund but know I'll never get it. Thanks WB, for bringing back the old ♥♥♥♥♥♥ batman games. How was your expierience playing this game?

i have a bug that crash the game when I throw a batarang with my pad, but if i throw it with my keypad it won't crash
... calm down? :)
My experience was great, experienced none of the bugs you mentioned. Two times I fell through the ground to infinity, sometimes Bman's cape behaved like it was in a class 5 tornado, had Burnley Tower bug but they fixed it since. Disappointed by cr4p quality of the Riddler's challenge too. No problems with combat, fighting was even more enjoyable than in earlier games (albeit kinda harder and less forgiving), no problems with responsivity or getting a high multiplier. Very surprised you called it sluggish; quite the opposite - it got more raw and kind of "jumpy", in earlier games it was more "flowy". I prefer the first one :)
Story was decent enough, only downside is that it felt too forced to make Joker the main antagonist again (...yawn). I mean it's true that I can't get enough of Joker, but it just felt too forced. Voice acting was awesome considering the fact both of the main characters got replaced.
The burtonesque gothic deep artistic atmosphere from earlier games didn't make it through to this game either, which is a shame.

All in all, good.

I only had 1 major bug & that was twords the end of the game when trying to go through the Panopticon room door in blackgate prison the game would crash to desk top. Fortunately all I had to do was varify the game cache & it fixed the problem (sort of) the hallway was still visually vary buggy but I cleared it & everything was back to normal. I'll admit the for what ever reason the combat isn't as fluid in AO as it was in AA & AC. The interrogation this is kind of annoying but it's easily overlooked. I actually didn't mind the side missions they were pretty decent, the over all city layout/gameplay was kind of weird I don't really know how to explain it but some how they made the city feel bigger & yet smaller at the same time. Personally I think the Riddler aspect was handled quite well in this game it wasn't too much of a hassle/grind which I guess would make sense because this is a prequel, honestly the Riddler challenges & trophy collection was so ridiculous in AC I hated it. Ultimately my biggest grip with the game is Batman's ineffectiveness to grapple up buildings & the some what sluggish combat & some of the ridiculous achievement requirements. So in retrospect the game isn't a complete fecal fest but it hardly lives up to the Arkham franchise.
I had 3 bugs that I can remember, but reloading the last check point fixed them the 2nd time through. I also thought the combat was extremely fluid and responsive.

Is it wrong i havent had any glitch encounters at all? I have been playing for 10 hours straight.
Got stuck in a wall once. Loaded from the last autosave & all was good. That is the only glitch I have ever seen. No actual bugs so far for me.
Combat is the same as the others, but I agree on the glitches.
I wouldn't say it's crap, but combat is really quite frustrating when you're used to City. On top of that, travelling feels quite limited as well, not as many points to hook your batclaw to as you're used to. Storywise it's pretty good though.

You're free to not like the game if you don't want to, but it runs fine for me and many other people. Don't blame the game for your problems.
I agree - B:AO is the worst part of the three.
I also encounteres situations where enemys were stuck in walls and I had to reload the game in order to proceed. I also encountered broken sidequests and the strange behavior of physics (Batmans cape, gliding broken,..)

I really hope, that Arkham Knight will be better again - in the meantime I will play BAA and BAC again.

I really agree with you B:AO hasn't been developed by Rocksteady but from Splash Damage and in fact (my opinion) is the worst part (for bugs and the combat sistem because it's similar to B:AC) but the next chapter will be developed by Rocksteady so I think that they will do a good work with B:AK.

Terrible programming is hardly just his problem. I've experienced it as well. Besides, the game was almost unplayable when it first came out. Just because you didn't have the misfortune of exepriencing glicthes that would make any comapny feel embarrassed doesn't mean the rest of us didn't or that the game is perfect.

i have played this through to the end, the only problem i encountered was that the cutscenes were not insync with the sound, other than that the game was great ^^

Good for you. I'm glad he's got someone to feel solidarity for him.

Besides, the game was almost unplayable when it first came out.

Ha, no. Sure, it had some issues, but you are completely blowing this out of proportion. I played the game on release day just fine.

Just because you didn't have the misfortune of exepriencing glicthes

I experienced plenty. I just don't go into an uproar about it.

Did I say that I was?

Strawman arguements are not going to help you here.

The fact of the matter is that a vast majority of what he's complaining about are because of HIM, NOT the game.

Here, I wasn't going to do this, but now I am:

"Combat Sucks and is unresponsive" ? - THE COMBAT IS PRACTICALLY THE SAME AS IN AC JUST WITH SOME MINOR DIFFERENCES. I had some trouble adjusting to it at first too, but I got used to it and now can go back and forth between games without issue.

"Not being able to use gadgets until restarting" - Not sure, but probably just a Human I/O software glitch related to his system. Either way, was this REALLY that hard to work around?

"Not being able to fly right after getting launched from Batplane" - This is normal. We all know this. Batman dives for a bit till he reaches a certain height, THEN you get glide control.

"Unable to counter" - Vague, but he's probably just doing it wrong.

"Not being able to use detective mode" - Again, vague, but probably just not yet up to the part where it's enabled.

"the Martial Artists are Bad" - Well, this is comphrensive. What's so "bad" about them?
"Can't block them half the time" - Doing it wrong.

"Can only get to 40X combo" - Well, that's not abnormal in story gameplay, and most combat challenges you don't get anywhere near 200-300X except for maybe on the marathon ones like Icerberg Lounge (in AC)

Ground Pound complaint - This is how it works in AC. He simply needs to adjust to that and learn how to use it right. This has been discussed before.
(Plus, if this is his "absolute worst problem", well, not much to complain about imo.)

Complaining about the change in interrogation - Ok, fair enough that he doesn't like this change, but, so what? is it THAT big of a deal? It's a design choice, not a flaw.

Point in fact, he disliked the game, which again, is fine, but the whole post is just a rant which exists purely because he wants validation from the internet for his feelings.

Incorrect. Splash Damage developed the multiplayer portion. WB Montreal was the developer for the main game.

And please, stop White Knighting Rocksteady. AA and AC both had their fair share of serious issues (AC corrupted saves anyone?) which they took their fair share of lumps for.
