My experience was great, experienced none of the bugs you mentioned. Two times I fell through the ground to infinity, sometimes Bman's cape behaved like it was in a class 5 tornado, had Burnley Tower bug but they fixed it since. Disappointed by cr4p quality of the Riddler's challenge too. No problems with combat, fighting was even more enjoyable than in earlier games (albeit kinda harder and less forgiving), no problems with responsivity or getting a high multiplier. Very surprised you called it sluggish; quite the opposite - it got more raw and kind of "jumpy", in earlier games it was more "flowy". I prefer the first one :)
Story was decent enough, only downside is that it felt too forced to make Joker the main antagonist again (...yawn). I mean it's true that I can't get enough of Joker, but it just felt too forced. Voice acting was awesome considering the fact both of the main characters got replaced.
The burtonesque gothic deep artistic atmosphere from earlier games didn't make it through to this game either, which is a shame.
All in all, good.
I also encounteres situations where enemys were stuck in walls and I had to reload the game in order to proceed. I also encountered broken sidequests and the strange behavior of physics (Batmans cape, gliding broken,..)
I really hope, that Arkham Knight will be better again - in the meantime I will play BAA and BAC again.
I really agree with you B:AO hasn't been developed by Rocksteady but from Splash Damage and in fact (my opinion) is the worst part (for bugs and the combat sistem because it's similar to B:AC) but the next chapter will be developed by Rocksteady so I think that they will do a good work with B:AK.
Good for you. I'm glad he's got someone to feel solidarity for him.
Ha, no. Sure, it had some issues, but you are completely blowing this out of proportion. I played the game on release day just fine.
I experienced plenty. I just don't go into an uproar about it.
Did I say that I was?
Strawman arguements are not going to help you here.
The fact of the matter is that a vast majority of what he's complaining about are because of HIM, NOT the game.
Here, I wasn't going to do this, but now I am:
"Combat Sucks and is unresponsive" ? - THE COMBAT IS PRACTICALLY THE SAME AS IN AC JUST WITH SOME MINOR DIFFERENCES. I had some trouble adjusting to it at first too, but I got used to it and now can go back and forth between games without issue.
"Not being able to use gadgets until restarting" - Not sure, but probably just a Human I/O software glitch related to his system. Either way, was this REALLY that hard to work around?
"Not being able to fly right after getting launched from Batplane" - This is normal. We all know this. Batman dives for a bit till he reaches a certain height, THEN you get glide control.
"Unable to counter" - Vague, but he's probably just doing it wrong.
"Not being able to use detective mode" - Again, vague, but probably just not yet up to the part where it's enabled.
"the Martial Artists are Bad" - Well, this is comphrensive. What's so "bad" about them?
"Can't block them half the time" - Doing it wrong.
"Can only get to 40X combo" - Well, that's not abnormal in story gameplay, and most combat challenges you don't get anywhere near 200-300X except for maybe on the marathon ones like Icerberg Lounge (in AC)
Ground Pound complaint - This is how it works in AC. He simply needs to adjust to that and learn how to use it right. This has been discussed before.
(Plus, if this is his "absolute worst problem", well, not much to complain about imo.)
Complaining about the change in interrogation - Ok, fair enough that he doesn't like this change, but, so what? is it THAT big of a deal? It's a design choice, not a flaw.
Point in fact, he disliked the game, which again, is fine, but the whole post is just a rant which exists purely because he wants validation from the internet for his feelings.
Incorrect. Splash Damage developed the multiplayer portion. WB Montreal was the developer for the main game.
And please, stop White Knighting Rocksteady. AA and AC both had their fair share of serious issues (AC corrupted saves anyone?) which they took their fair share of lumps for.
