It works on my laptop with Win8.

Just tried to get it to run here - it's misbehaving. Ahhh, PC gaming, this is while you'll always be my second and not my first option to hit up the 'ole interactive entertainment - so much pain just to get to the game (not for all games, but for enough to make a difference).

Issues are: it won't let me change the resolution without crashing to desktop (I'm guessing this is some clash between The Witcher and Metro), and when I just go for 1080p resolution, it's all over the shop (kind of like watching a 3D movie without the glasses - however, the screenshot when taken was perfectly fine). Opening cinematic was reasonably entertaining at least!

PC is:
Win 8 64-bit
i7-3770K
GTX 660 with 1.5GB GDDR5
16GB DDR3

Edit: Problem solved - it's a new machine, and the video card in it's wisdom decided to default to attempting to produce 3D images, despite no 3D monitor. Original issue left here in case it helps anyone. Initial issues were solved by running in Win 7 compatibility mode.

Its not working for me, it keeps saying that the minimum requirements are not met which isn't true!, I am on windows 8 so, Idk if that may be it, if someone has fixed this please help

Try this:

1) Right-click the game in your library
2) Select Properties
3) Select "Set Launch Options"
4) Type in -dontforceminreqs (with the hyphon)

No idea if it will work, quoted it from a different tech support post. Credit to the original author.

On the by, it ran well enough after the issues, _except_ it crashed a heap - maybe 20-30 times through a 50-hour playthrough? Might be worth trying Win XP of Vista compatiblity options. Recommend hitting the F5 key often ;).

When I play the game, Geralt's actions seem kinda choppy and the cut scene's only give me one frame for some reason. I've put the game in Windows 7 which didn't help.

I'm playing a new PC with Windows 8. Any advise?
