Yeah, it is. It's very good piece of an RPG game. :) The story is pretty awesome. It's one of the best mature RPGs ever.

I just bought this and it looks like a ton of content as it has about 11gb of content to download. I think it will be definitely worth the money if you like action rpg.

The combat system is bad but the story and cutscenes are great. It would be nice if they redid the combat system because it would make the game really good. Withcer 2 has a different combat system.

The combat certainly don't please everyone, best way to decide if its good or not for you is to try it. :/ But after a hour or two you get the point and learn to like it, or at least accept it. Honestly this is a real masterpiece RPG, if it's not for it's gameplay it will certainly be for it's fantastic, mature story and it's incredible atmosphere, a true piece of art, buy it and tell me what you think!

just got this game my comp is pritty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ so running it is a chore but i love it so far i am 6.2 hrs into it and i will say 5hrs of it was playing poker and brawling lol not that far into the story but loving it i am half tempted to get a new comp for it befor i go heavy into it so i can play it on high settings but absolutly buy this game for 10 bucks you cant beat it

The combat system isn't bad or good. It's different. Maybe it's quite annoying sometimes but anyway, close your eyes on this - it worths it, believe me! I spent about 40 hours on it and hardly can remember few another RPGs with that balance of humour and interesting storytelling.
To understand it completely read at least first book in the series.

It's definitely among my favorite RPGs as well. I personally love the comabt, as it focuses more on keeping a rhythm going than mashing an attack button, but I see where people dislike it. It's not very deep, and a bit easy a lot of the time; but i still love it.

The story is Deus Ex levels of deep, with different factions, motivations, and made all the better with a moral choice system that's based more on personal values and what you think is right, rather than just good or evil. Sometimes the "right" thing to do has worse consequences than the "wrong" thing to do, which adds replay value beyond just a "good" playthrough and an "evil" playthrough.

Also, it's a long game with a ton of different locations to visit. I clocked in at 44 hours for my first playthrough, and as i type this im redownloading it to go through it again to see what happens when I make different choices in the story, and to see what side quests I missed, which I know there are a lot of.

So yah, anyone thinking of buying this I'd say go for it. It's a bit hard to get into at first as first impressions are a bit rough since it plays quite a bit different from other RPGs, but he payoff is definitely worth it.

the combat system requires at higher difficuolty or later in the game very much thinking. its not "how fast you can click" its more of strategy - you have to use right oils, potions in advance and choose appropriate combat styles depending on enemys. add signs and it get relly interesting puzzling.

i have player over 20 hours and i am still not trough - i like it more then skyrim - it really has more of soul? personality? the game forces you to make choices, and its not this stupid good/evil - everyone has a point in this game, nobody is evil for the sake of bein bad. you feel soory for many of your enemies.

Very good RPG game with a mature story and setting. It has aged though and the game was made with a small budget (so few voice actors and repeated character models)

If you can get past that though it has a great story to go through and it sets it up for the second game (you can import your saved game) which is of much better quality than the first one.

Be sure to check some of the mods for the game. There's a bunch of texture and rebalance mods that make it a much more enjoyable experience.
