I finished the game on hard and didn't find it to be that bad. Just have to make sure you're using potions for any hard encounter and be aware of all the tools you have to deal with them. Some people will skip side quests but they give you valuable XP and money to get better gear/supplies so I would suggest doing them all.

thanks mate :), i normally always do side quests etc to explore ;), oh btw, i got the game off gog.com and dunno which version it is, any way to check the version number?

Gog always gives you the latest version. If there's updates to your game they'll automatically let you know on your account. They only sell the Enhanced Edition copy of the game if that's what you mean.

I'm playing on hard, isn't that hard...
Is like a normal mode, but some times you need play atention about what you're doing, I like this mode.

Oh yeah, if you like the game, support the developers and buy the game. The witcher series are one of greatest rpgs already made, and also is one of most pirated game, it's totally not fair.

@DecayWolf

He already stated he bought the game off of GOG which is run by the Developers and therefore doesn't have to give steam a cut.

I though gog has a abreviation for google...

Stands for Good Old Games, a drm free site that lets you buy PC games that's run by CD Projekt.

just check my steam games and see how much i support devs ;) and the retail games arent listed hehe, i prefer gog.com mostly cause games have more bonuses and are drm free!

I'd wouldn't say it's hard as long as you use all the tools you're given, speciafically alchemy. It's all about the potions. Always have potions on you at all times, and make sure you're spending your talents in the proper places. I found the beginning of the game pretty unrelenting when I started but once I got into the groove of things it worked out pretty well. There were some sections that were really challenging though. Fun over all.

can you reskill when you wanna try different?

and where do i exactly see my experience progression? i couldnt figure out yet where i see my progression bar, points etc.
Talesan Sep 22, 2013 @ 12:41pm
Don't think you can reskill any points.

Your XP bar is the cyan bar around your Witcher pendant in the top left corner. If you hover around it it'll say how much XP you have and how much you need for the next level.

ahhh thanks, haha i missed it somehow!
wow i find so many ingredienty somehow i feel overwhelmed with all that but at the same time reminds me of old rpgs which are complex, nice love it! a game where i write down my own notes on paper!

Don't worry about understanding ingredients too much. When you go to make potions at a bonfire it shows what type of ingredient you're missing and what you already have for the potion. Some ingredients have more than one substances to them such as how Celandine contains Rebis (green icon) and Nigredo (black icon).

thanks a lot mate, one question i got to the first PLACE OF POWER, if i use it now will it vanish from this location for the rest of the game or does it come back at the same spot some time?
argo76 Sep 22, 2013 @ 2:59pm
while making potions use the same additional substances it will give you nice boost.
