Importing saves to Witcher 2
Yesterday I bought Witcher 2 and I saw I can import my save from the original when starting a new game. The problem is I completed it but my HDD broke so I lost my saves. I've redownloaded it hoping Steam would also recover my save games, but it doesn't.
So is there a way to recover the saved game? is it worth to spend another 54 hours in the original before starting the sequel?

That's pretty cool. I didn't know we could import it into Witcher 2. Any idea why we can do this, and what benefits there are?

I have started another game in the original, I guess it's worth enjoying again before jumping to the second.
I have read that some characters reappear and give you some gifts, also, at the very begining of the game, the King mentions the death of Ada (whom of course, I saved). I think it will be better if it links more to the actions I made in the first one. So now I have Witcher 2 installed while I'm having a blast with the first one (again)
