How long is CHAPTER 1?
Ok seriously. How long is this thing. It goes forever with the sidequests and all. I'm not really trying to rush it but im playing for like 8-9 hours (1-2h for looking how to do some stuff) and im still far away. From what i saw on a wiki, the other chapters are way longer than the first. Is that true?

Yes, Chapter 2 and onward are much longer than Chapter 1. However, most people agree that the worst parts of the game is Chapter 1 and The Prologue and it's in chapter 2 that the game becomes much more interesting. If you're not looking to do the sidequests, then feel free to skip them if you just want the main story.

Take into consideration that the developers advertise the game being 60-70 hours long if you do all the sidequests. Personally it took me 39.

No idea. It depends how fast you move through the game and how efficient you are at moving through the areas.

The most of the time it's running around back and forth, so if you want to cut down your downtime dramatically, just plan ahead. Open up map and quest logs and figure out your priorities, the shortest paths you need to take and the useful stuff that you can do on the way. Planning ahead and multitasking is kind of important. It makes sense really, Witchers are all about preparation, planning, that's why you need to read a book before fighting a monster and craft potions and oils to be effective.

Blindly running around back and forth will just get you frustrated and annoyed. And will take a lot of time. Chapter 1 can be done A LOT quicker if you pay attention.

I got annyoned 20 min in chapter 1. I started watching videos. Half the way of the chapter i thought of doing it on my own but i didn't want to miss anything like last time so i just followed the videos and skiped 1 side quest because it was so boring and annoying. Im sure it can be done a lot faster. I dont like reading and prepearing. I want things to be done as fast as possible in these types of games.

The only thing I can think of here is to say that I dont think you're going to get much fun out of this, people are correct in saying that chapter 2 and onwards is much more interesting but going by what youve said I think chapter 2 in particular will seriously do your head in lol, so much running around back and forth and non obvious answers to quests, means you kinda need to put some thought into what order you want to do stuff to make the most efficient use of your time, and finding which vendors you can buy and sell certain things from also takes abit of hunting around, not to mention quest NPC's wandering off to different places depending on the time of day (GOD DAMNIT ZOLTAN JUST STAY AT THE DAMN INN!!!!) lol.

Some find all this to be really immersive and get alot of enjoyment from it but from what you said so far I think all it will do is just test your patience.

Edit - just noticed the date on your last post and realised you probably found this stuff out for yourself by now lol so nvm :P
