Is this game good?

I've just finished the witcher 2 and I loved it. I bought the first one during some sales but never played it. I want to know more about Yennefer and the wild hunt..is this game worth playing or the gameplay mechanic is out of date?

it is fantastic, however it is NOTHING like the witcher 2. i was deliriously happy over how crazy it is. each new act is unique & one has you solving a mystery w/ a detective modelled after humphrey bogart PIs. you can go to recover your friends lute after he left it at a girls house after deflowering, beat up her dad for no good reason, then screw her. along the same lines you can choose a nurse as yr love interest, later on go to the religious hospital where she works & havea threesome w/ two nuns. its insanely fun, unabashedly nuts & yeah if you like the story the wild hunt is a bigger part of this one, however nothing doing w/ yennefer that i can recall. theyre saving that for pt 3.

Myabe animations and graphic is little old but this story is realy WORTH hours You spend in game.

It never gets old, you should give it a try....even though the fighting system at the beggining is lame...then it gets better

The BEST game

The combat is definitley more classic RPGish and a lot less actiony and smooth like The Witcher 2. Some parts drag on way longer than they should like I think the second act when you get to the city and do a bunch of quests for the detective guy which involves going through repetitive sewers and parts of the city and fighting the same enemies.

Sometimes I question why good RPG's have to be 40+ hours long when many of those hours are useless filler that don't really contribute to the story...
