Disk write error when downloading game

I've already checked all the other related solutions for this error - I have enough disk space, I verified the cache integrity, my disk has no error, and I uninstalled the game and re-downloaded - still nothing. I get at the end of the download, 10.8 out 10.8 GB downloaded, yet when I try to play, it says an update is required but it won't download because of this disk write error. I really don't know what to do anymore, all my other games work just fine.

I have exacly the same problem and cant find a way to fix it

Try to create a new folder for steam library and re-download the game to this folder. It's solved this issue for me

All though when I went in to edit the permissions within the folder giving me problems (!Final) it kept crashing windows 10 File Explorer on me.

Instead, I had to go in to that folder, and found that users was not granted permissions as a full access. Apparently Steam falls into this category, so I made the download folder accessible under full control to all users, and boom, problem fixed! It downloaded and installed without a problem.
