Can't complete Heat of the Day
I seem to have hit a wall in trying to complete this quest. Literally. I have gotten to the point where Geralt is supposed to show the repaired mirror to the Midday Bride, but when I get to the hill there is an invisible wall surrounding the area. I can see in and she's there walking around but I can't get in to talk to her. Please help!

Maybe it has to be with the time of day? You only get to interact with her during 9am to 3pm I think... worst of cases you will need to reload an earlier save.

I'm there during the day and I did go back to an earlier save to try it again, but it still didn't work. Maybe I didn't go back far enough?

Hmmm, wouldnt know, are you sure you have completed all the previous objectives?

I've checked the wiki and every other walkthrough site available and can't even find anything even mentioning this glitch happening to anyone else, and I have talked to everyone. I even went back to a save from the beginning of the quest and ran into the same problem. At this point it seems like the game is broken. Is there something I'm supposed to do after getting the mirror repaired but before showing it to Alina?

Are you moving around the world using wasd/keyboard?

If so, try switching your movement to mouse and keyboard. Doing so will allow you to click on an area you wish to go to and Geralt will auto-path to that location. So, all you would have to do is click on the ground where the NPC is and you should walk to it, even if the path is really obscure and long.

I played through the witcher using this method because there are a lot of little barriers in the game. But that's to be expected in older games like this.

I tried this, but had no luck. It's not a matter of the path being obscure, it's blocked entirely. When I loaded it this time there's a wall of floating flowers instead of an invisible one. At this point I am so utterly sick this game's absurd quest log and nonsensical logic that I don't even want to finish the thing.

I just got past that part without issue. Just to be clear, once you have the mirror repaired, you must go to the Raspberry Patch during the day.
You may try going on top of the abandoned building (where you get one of the mirror pieces) and from there click nearby the big tree on the Raspberry Patch. Geralt should find it's way.

Might be another reason. Looks like a corrupt savegame/installation. Some time ago one guy posted in this forum with a similar problem: He couldn't leave the area around the big tree: invisible walls...

Do you (or did you) use any cheats, mods, trainers, scripts etc. ?

I have not used any mods, cheats or anything else that may cause the game to behave improperly. I am certain that I am visiting the location during the day, and can even see the midday bride wandering around the base of the tree, but can't reach her because of the barrier.

That's good.

Let's try if we can pin down the source of the issue. Download my savegame. Geralt should run straightway to the hill with the big tree. Is it possible to get to Alina?

If so: Upload one of your savegames after Geralt met a smith to repair the mirror, but out of sight of the hill. Give us the link.
