How do you attack the guard in the basement to rescue mors?
Yet another sucky part of this game. So I am in the basement and have to save mors as the dog. I run up behind the guard which I know I am supposed to be able to attack but I cant. How do I get past the guards as the guard to free the prisoner who will free mors cause google is NO help.

you have to sneak past the two guards and wait until the guard guarding the prisoner is alone and attack him. when he falls the prisoner grabs the keys.

You also have to click the mouse button like a mad man. Don't let others see you do this LOL!

The guard that is talking to the prisoner is not alone. The other guard who is supposed to move is just standing there. Whenever I sneak up he kicks me. Any way out?

Did you manage to fix this? I'm in the dungeon right now, and only some of the soldiers down there are attackable - very frustrating!

On one run, I was able to eliminate a specific knight patrol, then on another run, there's no QTE trigger, I just get automatically kicked whenever I near the patrol.

I cant remember exactly but you have to sneak a specific way. Try looking for a youtube vid maybe, seems like I found one with this. You do have to kill some of the solo guards as you work your way out. Thats the super hard part, clicking fast enough....

Some of the rooms have holes in the walls.

I figured it out. Clicking fast enough is not a problem at all.

It's the patrol(s) that consist of two knights. You have to get close enought the the knight farthest behind, just enough so that he starts noticing you, standing still, so that he is isolated from the knight in the front who will keep walking. A second or two after he notices you, he is safe to attack.

The other problem I had, was that the 2 soldiers in the prison cell room just before

*****slight spoiler******

Gawen did not move if they had spotted me once, meaning he could be blocking the only entrance leading to Gawen... which meant I had to load a couple of times for me to figure out
>.<

Cool, glad you got it. That was the worst part of the game, i actually stopped playing for a few months at that part. Then went back and figured it out eventually after much hair pulling. Only reason I stuck with it is cause I love the books and wanted to see where the story in the game went ;)

Me too :)

I can see why. It was a bit frustrating!

Story/characters is by far the best, but I'm a sucker for RPGs and the combat system reminds me of Neverwinter Nights, which I love.
