Great game thus far, but...
Is anyone else having incredibly janky framerate drops when they move the camera? I'm using a controller and it seems like in the Red Keep and at Castle's Black common hall, the camera will stutter and everything will lag as if I'm trying to run Half Life 2 on a Win98 machine.

In the wilderness and in less-populated areas, it's not really too noticeable, but if there's around a dozen people around, the game lurches for a bit. Turning off subtitles didn't help much.

Didn't got that problem last time I've run the game, sorry. Did you try to set the windows audio output to the standard bitrate? 16 bit, 44k Ghz.

It may be the issue

I've been having that same issue also. When I try and look around it seems like it just skips across 1/4 of the screen and I usually end up facing backwards because of it or something. I have to move the camera really slow so that it doesn't just suddenly skip and even then it's jerky.

when you look down the hall where the most is on the screen at once, yes I have to move my mouse a little slower. Haven't found it to be gamebreaking, still find the game well worth the small work arounds in design.

May be trickier on controller, but I don't use one for this game. Should be similarely solved despite you having to make up for lurchy design. There is a lot going on in certain rooms when you face all the action.

I solved a problem like this in another game (Titan Quest) by moving the game to an SSD (partial fix) and ultimately running the game executable from a Ram Disk (complete fix). I am not that bothered by this game to go through that trouble, but maybe someone can at least try the game from an SSD and report their findings?

The only thing I noticed is that the jerkiness was lessened the more I stayed in an area (like Castle's Black common hall), so it really could be simple buffering rather than a problem. Regardless, it doesn't stop me from playing this excellent game :)

Same problem here. Started playing it yesterday. Terrible camera moving in Castle Black, no problems at all in other locations so far. Which system specs do you guys have? Seems like it is not connected with computer hardware, right?

I've had framerate issues in Castle Black and a couple other areas. I imagine it's an optimization problem and with how poorly the game was recieved they probably didn't fix it. I've had similar situations while playing Deadpool a couple of times even though I can run better looking games like Skyrim effortlessly.
