Why all the bad reviews?

I'm so confused, the writing is absolutely fantastic and is in my opinion on par with The Witcher franchise, the gameplay is entertaining and as brought up before nowhere near as bad as The Witcher 1's combat. So why such terrible reviews? Because of average graphics and great to ok voice work? I'm so confused by this. The games a solid 75. It's a really immersive experience which is something that's almost lost in gaming nowadays.

Umm... this game is "on par with The Witcher franchise"? I havent played it yet but a comment like that makes me rush to the download button. So, is it really that bad? Or is it good? Comparing it to the rest of rpg's... how is it?
Byron: "Witcher 1's combat... uuuggh.." Thats why i uninstalled tw1 in the 1st 2 minutes after i started playing... after a few months i decided to give it another try (it was really hard considering the combat stuff) but after i got used to it... what can i say... The Witcher is an amazing game.
If someone can tell me that this game is worth a shot then im all good to try it out.

It's as I said, it's an extremely well written RPG that fits the Song of Ice & Fire Universe perfectly keeping in a giant codex with a ton of lore. The gameplay may not be the best but it's far better than something like Witcher 1's Combat or Planescape Torments Combat.

The way your choises shape the story and so on. It is really enjoyable.

The dude that writes the 'Game of Thrones' series oversaw the development of this game. Which might be why the story is excellent.

The combat is a little clunky, and the graphics look like they're from 2004, but I'm okay with that.

My only REAL complaint is that they cut and looped the title music. Some times I just want to sit and chill for a moment, really get into the groove of things, but then right as the music is about to get to "that part I like", it cuts to the beginning again. Booooo!
