Game too hard or is it just me?
Well, really, im not a noob gamer. Im playing RPG games since i was a kid but there is a quest where we fight with "Bartram" with one company and our dog. I cant kill them! I pulled the game difficulty to the easiest, and im still getting my ♥♥♥ handed to me. Plus, i cant find any cheats or trainers to help me with that quest. Did anyone got stuck like i did?

The game has a good difficulty, try using the stuns and the skills.

Well, there maybe some difficulty issues with certain enemies.

1. Think of combos with bleeding effect. They do real lot of damage.
2. Use acids in flasks (both healing and damaging). Some of acids work in combos with char effects like bleeding, injured, etc.
3. Be sure to use different weapons for different armor types. You'll get considerable bonus damage if you're doing it right.

You may have built your character(s) poorly.
Are you using the ideal weapon and armor set for your class?
Have you been allocating points (in the appropriate manner) after each level up?

I finished the game on Hard without any real difficulty. Sure there were a couple of deaths, and seemingly tricky fights, but my best advice is to invest in abilities that stun, or even better, knock down. If you tandem chain these abilities, and use the button that regenerates energy (X on a gamepad), you'll have total control over most fights.

When you create your character you can remove almost all status points and reallocate them.

I'd say it's too easy if anything kind of wish I played on hard, probably your playstyle/build is at fault. I more or less breezed through the game, only slightly frustrating part I can remember was this kitchen in one of the castles where you have to fight 6 guys with only Alester and his weak ♥♥♥ cousin who has awfull gear (which you can't swap out) and a fairly useless skill set.

For Mors I went with hedge knight and just slugged it out with 2 handed weapons and heavy armor. Get CC skills asap and skills that synergise with them, his headbutt does extra damage to stunned opponents and later on there is knockdown and some other skill that does extra damage to prone opponents his dog also has a knockdown and some other ok skills, also spam the energy refresh skill smartly (when enemies are stunned etc) maxed out heavy armor swords and mace i think it was.

Alester I went water dancer with light armor and swords found it quite weak and annoying, 90% of the intensity tree is reliant on short duration consumables you have to keep restocking and wasting gold on. He was super squishie and did about the same damage as my uber tank mors, so probably wouldnt reccomend it. Archer and sellsword look fun though.

Thats a problem with the game, not the player. Proper design balances combat based off of playstyles and choices.......not "oh, you chose the wrong class? Good luck!"

Yeah, there's a point for sure.
But you know, some classes are hard to master on default in many games. Like pure lane supports with no obvious escape abilities in Dota 2.

dude. i've been stuck for ages on the steps of the dungeon right after rescuing mors. i'm dead in the water. CANNOT beat those guards. I've even uninstalled my game. Giving up until i can find someone to actually take my laptop, beat the damn guards, then hand my laptop back to me. *le sigh*

Did you re-equip all of Mors's stuff? You don't have to leave him naked with no weapons. You get all his weapons and armour back as soon as you rescue him. It took me a little while to realise that as I expected to have to track it down and find it and forgot to check the inventory screen for a while.

I had a lot of trouble with that fight. It was a completely crazy difficulty spike. I think it is so hard because maybe it was unavoidable if you caught Bertram earlier. I think on like the fifth try I finally managed it with everyone dead except Patrek (or whoever). I focused on area attacks at first to thin out some of the mooks.

Keep playing though. After I managed to get through that the game went back to the regular difficulty. I've not finished it, but I've fought other "elite" and "boss" characters with little trouble.

I think that fight was just a mistake in the difficulty curve. It's cool if someone wants the game to be hard, but it shouldn't just have a sudden difficulty spike. I'd say the difficulty of the average fight is a bit too easy.

The tutorial claims that it is only a 15% difference. Most of the time I have a weapon of one type that is more than 15% powerful to begin with. It seems like I must be missing something there though. Why bother with the system if it only makes a 15% difference?
