Yes I thought it was really good. You need to get an hour or two into the game play and then it gets better and better. Mostly it's the story that draws you in, though the combat DOES get entertaining later on.

The story is really great. I know, graphics, animations, exploration, combat system.... all suck. But the story is awesome. If you can resist all this points, you will discover a great story wrote by the original autor.

This has the best story I have ever seen in an RPG. Hell, it's almost better than a lot of fantasy books I've read. Many things could have been improved, but the ideas in this are great. The parts I feel need improving were not enough to make me not like the game because things like story, originality, characterisation were far more important to me. I loved the detective quests. Also the morality of this game matches up with the books - there is no clear hero. Those who do good don't get rewarded. Bad people sometimes win. Innocent people suffer for no good reason.

This game is behind the times, but personally that has nothing to do with what makes a game enjoyable for me.

Whoever worked on the story for this should be hired by either Bioware or Bethesda...

The story, the dark atmosphere, the music, the dialogue, the main characters. A few graphical issues and clunky mechanics don't bother me. Helps being a huge Game of Thrones fan though.

The "Beyond the Wall" DLC is pretty short, but good for some backstory.

I'd be more likely to reccomend it to Gothic or The Witcher 2 fans, than I would to TES fans.

Frankly, when I want story I read a book or watch a movie etc., but a game should have gameplay.

I have time dedicated to reading, watching movies and playing games. I don't like watching a movie that pretends to be a video game, and this game is just that. Waste of time compared to decade old games like KotOR.

although i think the gameplay was lacking the stroy line was one of the best ive seen in any game!

Sure the gameplay was mediocre and the combat a bit lacking...but it didn't run entirely like a story or a movie, thats a little bit unfair. There was plenty of exploration and some things to break the standard stuff like running around as Mor's dog and taking down enemies.

I found combat to be average and overall the game isn't exactly a triple A title, but its not like its a horrid piece of ♥♥♥♥.

I found myself fairly immersed into the game at multiple points and I'm content with the money I spent on it.

I'm disappointed that I waited so long to play this game. I read the reviews, and took a pass. Then I received it for dirt cheap in the Humble Bundle deal and figured I'd get 30 minutes in before I lost interest.

I was wrong. This game is awesome. I typically struggle any more to stay interested in any game, and I've somehow made it 20+ hours into this and continue to stay immersed/interested.

Anyone who is a fan of good story and making choices that bear consequences - I highly recommend this game. Even the gameplay, which isn't its strong point, really isn't all that bad. I am used to playing mmos, and the combat in this game has a very mmo-ish feel to it, so I don't mind it. At all.

I'm just happy to finally play a game that holds my attention as well/long as this one has.

I loved it. I found the gameplay to be really engaging when you are facing off against crowds of enemies and the story is great. I put up a review now that the new review system is up. You can see it here:

Didn't even like the game until I got 2 hours in. After that the story draws you in and keeps you wanting more. It's like a good ♥♥♥ page turning book.

I don't quite know how to explain it, but the only thing I didn't like in the begining was some of the low res textures, but oddly enough they grew on me, and now I adore some of the areas in this game that before I thought could of looked better.

The combat is fun once you get used to it, just that many games don't follow that format of combat anymore, so it seems very different. I played with a controller and I had absolutely zero bugs or problem controling the characters.

And finally the story is beyond worth it, I was expecting something much less from the books, but I was astonished at how well done it was.
