Worth buying for someone who doesn't watch the show?

So I've watched about 2 seasons of GoT and I stopped watching it because I didn't like it for various reasons and thought it wasn't a good show.
Anyway, I do like RPG games so how is this game in general? I don't really care about the story or characters but actual gameplay elements is what I'm interested in.

Is it like a nice Witcher, God of war type game?

It's nothing like God of War and is pretty similar to the original Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic or Dragon Age. I don't think you'll enjoy it.
