Reginald Fairfield, ex-Broadway star with a bad attitude. In the year following Arkham City Bruce Wayne visits New York for business and takes a date to a show. During the show a man breaks into the theater and attempts to rob the rich folks. Bruce slips out and throws on the Batsuit. He attempts to catch the guy but the man takes aim and fires. It misses Batman but the stage is behind him. Reginald is hit, his spine is injured, he can't walk and is told he will never perform again.

He's angry, he blames Batman for some reason. Being a wealthy, famous stage performer he hires underground doctors and has comic book surgery on his spine. He wills himself through the rehab with his hate for Batman. Now he's a smart engineer for some reason and builds a suit to mock Batman, the Arkham Knight suit. He contacts the richest of the criminals and they agree to fund his attempt to kill the Batman. One not so wealthy criminal also attracts his attention, with a plan to kill the Bat. That man is Dr. Crane.

This is actually pretty well thought out. Well done.

Thanks Shiken! In all seriousness, I don't really have a theory. If he's supposed to be a new, original character it's near impossible to be accurate with one.

Could be Professor Strange, again. His super power (if you can call it that) is being able to fake his death in believable ways and come back later when your guard's down. Also, he's always desired to replace Bruce Wayne as a more perfect Batman.

Could be Thomas Elliott AKA Hush, trying to destroy both Bruce Wayne's and Batman's reputation.

Could be Azrael, goading Batman into following him so that he can help him fulfill (or deny) the prophecy of his holy order.

Could be Joker, mocking Batman as best he can. By extension, if Joker is truly dead, it could be Clayface, his psyche warped by the Lazarus Pit to make him believe he really is the Joker.

Could be Deathstroke, hired by Scarecrow to distract Batman while Crane enacts his next big plan to destroy Gotham City.

Could be Prometheus, acting on his own and doing his usual very best to be the anti-Batman, mercilessly killing cops and taunting Batman.

There are many people it COULD be. We don't know enough until we get our hands on the game, however, to be able to make close guesses. The options are pretty entertaining all around, though.

That's a very create theory you have there. Nice one!

Azrael will definitely be involved in the plot, but the one thing that people seem to overlook about the Arkham Knight is his size. Compared to the other characters in the world, the Arkham Knight doesn't appear to be as built as Azrael or Hush.

Proffessor Strange is an interesting theory, but considering his age and bodytype don't match, I doubt it. I imagine he would also be trying to get revenge on Ra's for stabbing him in the back, metaphorically and literally.

Deathstroke is plausible, but I also feel like he wouldn't need to take on another persona, he could just be himself.

Prometheus is also plausible, but considering the character hasn't appeared in the games aside from easter eggs, it wouldn't be a huge reveal for anyone other than the biggest Batman fans.

Again, Red Hood DLC.
in one of the trailers where the Arkham Knight is fighting Batman he says to Batman, "Now it's time to die, old man" this line indicates that the Arkham Knight has to be younger than him so it can't be someone like Deathstroke who would difinetly have the skill and motive but not the age. Also the Arkham Knight is obviously a male character so it can't be a female character. The Arkham Knight also needs to have the skill and motive to kill Batman, he would also need a reason to be dressed like Batman. I think that the Arkham Knight wouldn't be a completely new character because the reveal wouldn't be special. And i don't think it'll be Joker because he should be dead. It also has to be someone who has the body shape. So that excludes Bane and other characters like him (too big or too small) The Arkham Knight would also need to have the technology and money to create the Arkham Knight suit. i also believe that Arkham Origins was made for more than just to give insight on Batman's origin story, so i believe the arkham knight is someone from Arkham Origins. this character needs to be younger than Batman, have to have the skills, the motive, and the technology. i can only think of one character that fits all of those- Anarchy. I believe that the Arkham Knight is Anarchy because when Anarchy comes onto the scene he's only a kid, what if he grows up and trains and later decides to try and over throw Gatham again? The only person standing in his way would be Batman, so he'll try to kill him again. All these reasons make me beieve that the only capable character to be the Arkham Knight would be Anarchy

Unfortunately due to budget cuts the game will only be availible in Haitian Creole.

Seriously though, on Steam's page there are no supported languages because the page hasn't been updated, which makes sense because the game isn't coming out for 9 months. The game WILL be in English, I wish people would start using their brains and realize this.
