Stuttering. Is it really due to the lack of RAM?
I got GTX 960m 4GB vRAM, 8GB system RAM, and i7-6700HQ. The game stutters quite a lot during gameplay, especially when driving. The transitions between gameplay and cutscenes also stutter for a whole good 1-2 seconds. Even the messages popping up during gameplay (e.g., those that tell you about new objectives and objectives completed) could cause the game to hiccup badly. High, normal or low settings. It doesn't matter. Still stutter.

Same as Just Cause 3, except this game is worse.

So I read this is a problem with the 8GB RAM. Increasing it to 16GB could solve the problem? Anyone who got the same problem fixed the problem with RAM upgrade.

Anyone can confirm this before I get another 8GB RAM.

Thank you.

What's your OS?

For Windows 10 users, we’ve found that having at least 12GB of system RAM on a PC allows the game to operate without paging and provides a smoother gameplay experience.

Windows 10. I'm wondering if 16GB can eliminate the problem.

Windows 10 here, too.
Looks like I will have to buy more ram.

I can easliy play AR maps without any lags, but it stutters when I am travelling in open world.

Maybe, it depends on how much of a factor memory usage is for your system right now. I'm sure it'll help the system overall, but that's still a laptop, and laptop GPU's are just NEVER all that good. So even if you do see a benefit, you've still got that mobile GPU being a limiting factor.

Basically, don't expect any miracles.

I have 8GB ram and i did not experience stutter at all. Try lowering your resolution in game.

that won't do anything for main memory usage. He needs to make sure there's no other open running programs, and possibly reduce other graphics features to improve performance, but changing the resolution generall won't do squat.

8GB is the absolute bare minimum for an entry level PC. Gaming PC's should have at least 16 now.

Maybe read the game's requirements where it clearly says 6 GB needed? Bro I have 16 GB of RAM just buy more it's like $35 for 4 gigs

You will want 16GB but I wouldn't expect smooth sailing just with a RAM upgrade.

The stuttering you're seeing is most likely because of the GPU usage drops that are still sadly a part of this game.

Turning down the detail level and shadows should help but the stuttering is unfortunately here to stay.

(For reference, I have 16GB of DDR3 at 1600 MHZ , i7 4770k @ 3.5 GHz and a GTX 1080ti SC running at 3440x1440 100Hz on the newest nvidia drivers). I can get a solid 90fps on any of the arkham combat missions but once I go into story mode, GPU usage fluctuates rapidly between 70/80% and dips to 30/40% causing the stuttering and frame drops.

Hope you have better luck but I would keep your expectations low.

GPU usage doesn't just drop for no reason. If that happens then there's either a bottlenecking issue leaving the GPU's pipeline starved (often due to the CPU or Disk) or something is wrong with the Graphics driver or hardware.

Almost the same hardware, except 2GB vRAM and 16GB system RAM. No stutter.

Enhanced sync help a lot for amd cards, reduce texture quality and shadows to normal help too. Now my only issue is that's ♥♥♥@#?! random crashes.

I play this game with a gtx 770 and now whit a RX 480 and this config changes help me a lot

Do you mean adaptive Vsync?

EDIT - Yeah from what I can see "enchanced sync" is just AMD's name for their implementation of what NVIDIA calls "adaptive vsync",
