ATTENTION: Avast Anti Virus Software & Crashing
We've discovered that is most cases where people have reported crashes it has been because they have had Avast Anti Virus Software installed.

See this Unity Forum Thread: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/172759-Unity-4-0-1f2-and-avast-8-0-1482-quot-getThreadContextfailed-quot-error

The only solution at this stage is to Uninstall Avast as disabling it leaves it resident in memory and you will still experience crashes.

I do not expect you to uninstall Avast this just for your information.

Personally I use Microsoft Security Essentials it has a proven track record.

I tested it on MSE and NOD32 AV nonve crash the game.

Just add the game to Avast exclusion list, it might be fine.

Avast cause way too many positive or crash those days anyway, that's wwhy MSE or NOD32 is better.

COMODO Internet Security Premium or COMODO Antivirus work fine with all Unity games I have, too.

Will there be any fix for Lunar Flight crashing with Avast in the near future? I really enjoy your game but it's a hit and miss whether the game will run or blue screen when I play multiplayer. Any chance of a patch to fix?

It is completely out of my control, Unity and Avast have to resolve the issue.

Now this bloody "My antivirus is better than yours" is starting again. I´m just going to leave Lunar Flight - and everything is good.
Simple as that.
P.S.: My ♥♥♥♥ stinks much better than yours :)

A wee update. I decided to change antivirus to test out the problem. Problem gone. Keeping the new antivirus as a few other problems seem to have cleard up as well so all in all it turned out good :)

Kaspersky AV, Win 7 Home - game doesn't start until AV is switched off. Doesn't need unistall, though.

I'm using AVG for antivirus and I'm getting crashing every few minutes. The game just drops straight to desktop. I've got no idea whether it's the antivirus that's causing it, to be honest.

Interesting, but curiously enough I have not experienced this problem. Lunar Flight has never crashed on me and I have Avast active 24/7. Perhaps I am just lucky, or maybe it is just a matter of time :p

Turns out if I'm in Window mode, the game works perfectly. :-/

Really disappointed but I think I'm having an Avast/Lunar issue with crashing. Is this ever going to be fixed?

Only if Avast fix it, the dev can't do anything for.

Or just use a good antivirus!
