How did you control it?

xbox 360 controller, it's not the controller thats a issue, the space craft is just way to jumpy and just all around a pile of crap to control. for 5 bucks go ahead and buy it, you might be ok with it, I have lots of games with race cars, jets, space shuttles etc and this is the worse of all to control, but the game does look good graphics wise.

Did you go over the Flight School Tutorials or the check out the Steam guide?

Lots of people find Lunar Flight very challenging because it is realistic in its portrail of physics. Make no mistake this is not a game for people with short attention spans looking for instant gratification.

After seeing this interesting game for sale on Steam, I'm thinking of getting this game but I'm not sure since I don't really know what do you do in this game and if it feels realistic. So it would be helpful if the people who play this game can say that it's a good game or not worth it.

Biased as I am I will try to give you an understanding of what Lunar Flight is like. It is a very realistic simulation of flying a thrust powered space craft on the moon with authentic space physics. You will find it has an initial learning curve but if you are patient enough to watch some of the Flight Tutorials you will find a game that is far more rewarding than most.

It is a game that requires practice to develop the skills you need to be successful but ultimately is extrememly rewarding when it 'clicks'

The games description details all the gameplay features...

This game is awesome! Don't listen to JLH, he probably played 10minutes and gave up. The controls are hard, but thats the goddam point of this game. That's what the game is about. It will get some time to get used to and if you are a guy who gives up rather fast than this game is not for you. If you look for a challenging simulation and/or you are interested in low gravity physics than you should buy it.

This game doesn't offer that much (you still get more than 5 hours out of it) but I consider it one of my favourite games of all time. It's a interesting experience, the game is challenging, even after 4 hours of flying you won't be able to control the vehicle close to perfection, but not because the controls are bad.

Also, as you might notice the developer is still adding stuff for free to the game (muliplayer, occulus rift support) and is still active in this forum.

You may try to play without a tutorial at first, but you will most likely crash your spacecraft. There are alot of userfriendly guides out there and you should give them a shot.

I clearly stated why you shouldn't listen to him, but I will explain it again for you. I don't have acess to his profile but I assume, based on his comment, that he played the game for less than 30 minutes. After that I explained why his point (the controls are too hard "pile of crap to control") is not valid since it's the point of the game. It's called a simulation for a reason. If you want a game with only WASD controls than this is not for you.

And yes, I am a "fanboy" since I consider this one of my favourite games. Not because the developer is related to me nor because I have a benefit from sales, but because this game offers exactly what the description says, bugfree (atleast for me) and in the best way possible (normally, when I play a game there is atleast 1 thing I would have done different as the developer, but not in this game. Obviously, it's minimalistic which helps in this aspect.)

I also explained why this game may be interesting for you:

"It will get some time to get used to and if you are a guy who gives up rather fast this game is not for you. If you look for a challenging simulation and/or you are interested in low gravity physics than you should buy it."

I didn't say it is a must-buy for everyone.

And why you should rather listen to me than JLH is because I played 6 hours of this game and "finished" it he played probably 30 mins and saw 10% of the content.

Hi, i bought this game on the same day as i recieved my Oculus rift and i must say well done to the developer as this is an awesome vr experience! I havent played it without the rift so cannot comment on how it feels without being in the cockpit. The controls are nice and straight forward to use but yes this game feels very 'simmy' and requires practice to become proficient. If you have no patience this is not the game for you.....but if you have a rift buy it!, its basically plug and play......great job shOvOr!

P.S. I use a wireless xbox pad.

Check this out. I didn't know either but ....what do you really have to loose? 5, 10 max. Ok I gave it a real shot this morning and I was justly rewarded. Yes it takes a little bit to pick up. for me about 2 hours in short groups. Once you get the "feel" for it, it just starts to fall into place. Then its practice time but not without purpose. Mission driven this is hard to beat. You know I can't remember the last time I whent to the moon (RL) but it sure feels and looks great on my laptop. I'm recommending this to my friends so that we can play this together. Honestly I feel like I cheated getting this game so cheap. It worth a good bit more.
