More of that good stuff.

A shining gem from gaming yesteryear KOTOR II holds up in all the right ways all these years after release. The story has the player take on the role of The Exile as they explore and restore their connection to The Force and try to balance that with the relationships they form on their journey all while also trying to save the galaxy from impending doom at the hands of the Sith. Gameplay is top-notch for RPGs and holds up against modern day RPGs quite well and in fact does some things better such as but not limited to varied dialogue trees, build diversity, and consequences to your choices you really feel. There's loads of interactions with the characters and world and multiple outcomes for almost every quest chain. Dialogues with your companions have potential to open up bonuses, class paths, and even quests or crafting. Crafting and upgrading systems are simple to use but add a nice complexity and customization to character builds/equipment. Combat is simple (point and click, space to pause, etc.) but still very satisfying. The games age does show a bit in the dated graphics and sometimes wonky camera but those are small details and do nothing to tarnish the brilliance of such a gem. Definitely a worthwhile investment and a "can't miss" title for Star Wars RPG fans.

KOTOR 2 is a great game. The writing is excellent, the music fits perfectly, the action is fun, and it makes you think about some deep philosophical questions. It is darker than the first Knights of the Old Republic game, but it is an excellent choice for any Star Wars fan.

Star wars: Knights of the Old republic 2 is a flawed masterpiece.

Taking the original's 3E D&D base and expanding upon it, this star wars experience makes for an amazing character-building experience. Putting you in the reigns of an ex-jedi, you are immediately given force powers and put on your way.

The story, to put it bluntly; is an experience that puts into the question of the will of the force. What became of the galaxy after the events of the Jedi civil war? What is the history of the crew you pick up along the way?

This game is not without it's flaws of course. An unreachable level cap, a rushed and awkward ending as well as quite a few bugs. Thankfully, thanks to the restored content mod, you can have a nearly-vanilla experience even with said mod. I would heavily recommend it for any first timers, even as a first-time purist when it comes to any other game.

The gameplay is a behind-the-scenes-turn-based RPG. A D20 system controls attacks, and if you're experienced in more modern D&D: It uses 3E's version of saving throws where everything is under one of three categories. This game is easy to break if you know and are willing to do so.

A little rough around the edges, I would heavily recommend this game for those who can see past the early Xbox graphics!

Similarly to KotOR 1, this is one of those games that makes me wish I could get selective amnesia and play it again for the first time.

This game is the best SW game of all time, if you like games like Fallout NV or Dragon Age Origins, i would highly recommend it, 10 out of 10

KotOR 2 is still one of the best written narratives in all of Star Wars!
