I cant quite remember how i found the folder, but this should work
1. Download restoration mod from moddb(thats where i got it from)
2. install it to your knights 2 folder, this is what im forgetting, i think its found in program files(x86) under steam, maybe in the steam apps.
You just have to stick the mod in the game folder and you should be good to go.
When you start the game up itl say restored content mod,ect in the main menu. I hope this helps!

I installed the mod into the Knights of the Old Republic folder but it always goes into the Override folder or creates one if I delete it. Even if I move the contents from the Override to the main, the main menu ingame doesn't say the mod's inplace.

actually, the mod SHOULD create an Override folder...
Ampersand Jan 10, 2013 @ 6:38pm
It's in the Override folder in (x86) but no confirmation on the main menu.

That's because it ISN'T supposed to be in the override, but the rootfolder.
I suggest doing a full re-install so there aren't any files lingering where they shouldn't be, potentially messing things up like crashing the game...

Do you mean a folder called a rootfolder or just the regular Kotor II folder in Program Files (x86)?
Sorry, completely clueless on modding.

i put it in the override and it shows up in the main menu, but i cant start a new game game because it wont load after i make a new character...?

Well it goes into a black screen when i start a new game. I re-install kotor2 with the mod and it still goes black. I load a game on the Ebon Hawk and I can't use the Galaxy Map or exit the ship.

What mods? TSLRCM?
As stated, it's just a self-executing program. Point it where KOTOR is installed (not the override folder) and done.
PirateDog Jan 16, 2013 @ 11:42am
yeah TSLRCM. would someone be able to give me a quick step by step?
PirateDog Jan 16, 2013 @ 1:17pm
like i pointed it to where it needs to be and still nothing
Hassat Hunter Jan 16, 2013 @ 3:32pm
Where did you point it to?
Did you check if your steam was in program files or program files x86?

I figured it out, along with others have, we do not put it in the over folder but: C:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Knights of the Old Republic

kk i put it in C:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Knights of the Old Republic. hopefully that works cause i really want to see this game in all its glory
